  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:45 PM) Yeah, but most likely he's going to return much less than Danks would, even though I think the returns on the field would be very similar this season. Ironically, we need Bartolo and Garcia to get injured in order to make Danks more desired by the Yanks.
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:43 PM) No. I mean keep Edwin around for the remainder of the season. I still think we are going to be in this division for the long haul, so I'd like to keep one of them. Well yeah, you can't let both go.
  3. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:41 PM) Jackson was fine, hes just the easiest whipping boy on the Sox staff. Bautista hit a 3 run hr off of him and he was a little off the first few innings. The fact is that if 5 ers is a terrible start, than no pitcher should be pitching in the AL because im not sure there is a pitcher who hasnt given up that many. He kept the Sox in a position to win, gave up a few weak hits (broken bats etc), but when he got a lead he held it. Got no problem with that outing. I'm not exactly happy with the outing, and his WHIP has been terrible this year for someone with his stuff.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:40 PM) Who knows...but if it were me, given the potential returns, I would roll the dice on Edwin keep him around and trade Danks because we can actually get something for him. If neither are going to be around, shouldn't we trade the one that actually nets some kind of return? But you really think Boras and the Sox can work on an agreement to keep Jackson around? You know I'm with you in trading Danks.
  5. The funny thing is that I trust Ohman more than the other lefties in our bullpen if we have to get one lefty batter out.
  6. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:38 PM) He started off wild and ineffective, got it together as the outing went on. It wasn't a good start by any means, but he gave us a chance to win the game. You think we see him start another game? If he does, it's simply to showcase him for a trade.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:37 PM) Was it bad luck today? I see his K/BB ratio was rather good. He found his groove later in the game, but he couldn't control Patterson and he made a simply awful 0-2 pitch to Hill.
  8. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:36 PM) You mean an outfielder can sprint back towards a ball? Even though Davis didnt get it, Pierre should watch that replay and see how he sprints to the god damn wall and then tries to make a play. Its just insanity. Pierre's been doing that all year. He runs with his glove out, which is something you're taught not to do in Little League.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:35 PM) I wouldn't be shocked if Ozzie just allows Omar to do whatever the hell he wants out there. I agree
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:33 PM) I guess you have to be more careful with your money when you blow $5 million for one month on a washed up, injury prone, juicer. A headcase that quit on three organizations. Dick Allen so called that s***. And when you waste 8 million dollars on Edwin Jackson.
  11. I love Stone bashing Juan's "attempt" to catch the ball.
  12. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:31 PM) and what happend after that is his fault. its just a bad team, thats it I'm shocked that you and greg are the only ones who think it's not a problem.
  13. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:30 PM) This. That was absolutely ludicrous coaching decision. For anyone that questions how influential a manager can be on the outcome of a game, Ozzie's proving how detrimental he can be this week.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:30 PM) And why again did we not want to bring Putz back? All in baby! Who cares if he's perfect on the season in save opps.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:28 PM) Ozzie lost us this game?? You are a one trick pony. Give me a break. You're ridiculous. Keep blaming Thornton when our idiot coaching staff had the 2nd baseman covering when a lefty was up.
  16. Hey Crain...try not hanging every freaking slider, thanks
  17. Well, Ozzie lost us this game. And damn Juan, run to a f***ing spot.
  18. QUOTE (Bighurt52235 @ May 28, 2011 -> 07:26 PM) Dude, him getting a groundball there has absolutelt nothing to do with blown saves 6-7 weeks ago. Yep, it was strategic blunder...Thornton did his job
  19. Why in the heck was Omar covering there? Patterson was definitely trying to pull the ball that entire at bat.
  20. Remind me to not proclaim the offense has shown up again
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 28, 2011 -> 06:12 PM) Can't really get rid of him that easily. I can't see him staying around unless Danks is traded.
  22. QUOTE (Real @ May 28, 2011 -> 06:08 PM) then he's on the right team! For about another month
  23. Edwin gets very few swings and misses on his fastball. To not throw an 0-2 slider there to Hill is crazy on AJ's part.
