  1. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 01:52 AM) Yeah, Beckham never adjusted to the league and has continued to suck. Oh wait. In Walkers ChiSox career, they just have not had good young hitters come through the system (Beckham really is the first). Hitting coaches don't really matter. That's why b****ing about the current one is pointless exercise. Who knows if this is true. Fields had a dynamite rookie year with regards to power, and then the next year, looked like he'd never seen a fastball in his life.
  2. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 01:53 AM) Dammit maybe if Kenny Williams is fired, Chris Sale will start throwing strikes!!! As long as it's in the minors stretching out, I'm fine with him being wild.
  3. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 01:48 AM) Who do you want fired and how would it help the Sox? You think if Ryne Sanberg was standing in the spot Ozzie is standing right now, Rios, Beckham, Dunn and Pierre would start hitting? Do you think if Rick Hahn took over for Kenny Williams, Matt Thornton would become a top notch closer and Jake Peavy's arm/back/shoulder/adnoids would heal and he'd be able to pitch tomorrow and be an ace? Who should be fired because of Alexei working the count and hitting a weak pop up? No doubt in my mind that there's too much complacency among our coaches and players. No one is held accountable.
  4. QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 01:47 AM) I'm sure you were saying this the first week of the season. Oh dear, the stats were living off of the first game. I've long believed that Walker's biggest weakness is helping young hitters adjust after the league adjusts to them.
  5. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 01:44 AM) oh man Hey Zen, thanks for releasing Chris Bolden out of his bball commitment. Sounds like he'll end up at GT.
  6. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:42 AM) I dont know whats worse, watching this offense or the farts I'm letting loose from the egg salad sandwich I had for lunch today. or changing the poop of a baby that just started eating solids.
  7. QUOTE (DukeofChicago88 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:39 AM) White Sox prospects rule! Best farm system ever! That Greg Walker does a fine job of helping players adjust to the league.
  8. Once again, Beckham's too late to load and can't get the barrel on the ball. f*** it, let him go back to the Sheffield wiggle cause this bulls*** isn't working for him.
  9. I watch one play of the Cubs game, and Padres CF drops a pretty routine play. What a terrible last 10 days of baseball.
  10. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:22 AM) I don't understand this. There are a whole hell of a lot owners who are worse than Chairman Reinsdorf. We have a 128 million dollar payroll. Reinsdorf literally is the least of our issues.
  11. This umpire has been fine. AJP was complaining about the umpires last night as well. He must have a hot date after the game.
  12. Ugh, I really was hoping we saw the last of those weak 4-3 groundouts by AJP after game 162 last year. Castro might end up the year with more extra base hits.
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:17 AM) rios about to make it 4-3 6-3
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:15 AM) seriously konerko, wtf are you swinging at? Head is flying off the ball the last few games. Dunn with a great swing for that double there!
  15. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:11 AM) Gonna get a nice return for him.. He's worth more to us than he is in a possible trade. Danks is the opposite, IMO.
  16. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:10 AM) We're always looking to bring back past players. It looks like Lance Broadway found his way back to our team. I miss your minor league player rants
  17. Quentin with a bomb! He's a stud right now. 16 extra base hits, I believe.
  18. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:09 AM) Coop needs to stay out of Cork & Kerry's. Or stay in it. At least his radio interviews are always pleasant.
  19. Humber hangs far too many pitches up in the zone.
  20. Little League error there...no Gold Gloves this season for Alexei. BTW, I heard the other day that the Brewers haven't had a Gold Glove winner in nearly 30 years.
  21. Another awful pitch with 2 outs. At least Stone is finally calling out the stupid thinking by some of our players.
  22. Even if he's struggled with 2 outs, kudos to Humber for giving us a chance to win all three games he's started. Be nice to see him do well this year and put him in contention for the rotation next year.
  23. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 12:57 AM) He most definately hit the wall. It was a really nice play, long run, nice catch. Not many RF'ers make that play routinely. To me, it didn't look like he jumped into the wall. I actually give Hawk for not making it sound like the greatest play ever (which the Fuld catch last series was).
