  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:00 AM) Nothing like a 7-20 stretch to create excitement. Until LF and 3B gets figured out, I'm comfortable in saying we're not a good team. You can survive with a crappy hitting catcher, but having pathetic offensive players at LF and 3B in the AL is just a waste of outs.
  2. Why would KW be questioned about McCarthy? He killed Texas in that trade.

QUOTE (JoshPR @ May 12, 2011 -> 02:35 AM) No proof on piazza, just yet. Maybe he was dirty, maybe not. Some sportswriter talked about how awful his back acne was, which is one of the physical symptoms of steroid use.
  4. Who's this Louis Coleman reliever on KC? Fantastic strikeout numbers in the minors, and he's doing well in the majors so far also.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:52 AM) Rosenthal was STILL predicting tonight at the Yankees/Royals game in NYC that Cleveland, DET and the White Sox would fight it out for first. That's becoming more and more of a remote possibility. I'm not even concerned with what the Indians are doing anymore. Detroit's going to win the AL Central. Best all around talent in the division.
  6. Why do we continue to let Callapso just destroy us with 2 outs and an open base? Been going on for 3 years now.
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:44 AM) That is on KW no need to extend him at all. Deals made during 2009 = awful consequences. Kinda like what the Cubs have faced the last few years, it's going to take a few years to get some of these bad contracts off the books.
  8. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:43 AM) I know when it expires. I just can't wait until it does. That's how I feel with Rios and gulp...Peavy
  9. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:41 AM) teahen is almost as big a waste of player as pierre is. he is guaranteed to foul a pitch off to the left and then hit a seven hopper For 5 million a year and playing twice a week, you'd think he'd have enough energy to hustle down the first base line instead of reaching first in about 7 seconds.
  10. It seems like our players SUCK at hitting hanging breaking pitches. Been that way for a while.
  11. Teahen's batting average in free-fall mode, down to about .225
  12. Just noticed that all of our hits are from our lefties.
  13. 1 for 15 with RISP and 2 outs for Mr. Rios. He is such a non-factor this season.
  14. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:29 AM) Danks looked better last night and a team of professional hitters handed him his ass. This is why I can not get excited about this team. No change in the approach at all swing from the heels and hope the wind is blowing out. Something that is scary is how little power we have in our lineup this year outside of the middle of the order.
  15. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:27 AM) Chatwood looks terrible If he gets the win tonight, he owes Alexei and Teahen a steak dinner.
  16. Still wish we would have traded Rios for Granderson.
  17. I hate that Juan isn't able to steal in "easy" steal situations. Even average runners are usually able to steal 2nd with a high success rate when there's a runner on 3rd also.
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:16 AM) Kendry Morales is going to have to have another surgery on his leg and will be out for the season. Tough loss for the Angels. Guy was an offensive force before his injury. Make him the full time DH, and then sign Pujols this offseason
  19. I'm so sick of watching Alexei with RISP of late.
  20. Chatwood has nothing tonight
  21. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:07 AM) What the hell was Ramerez doing. He was wondering how someone could still spell his last name wrong
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:01 AM) Angels announcers said that there advanced scouts had him as high as 94-95 in his last rehab start. Not sure the truth there, but his velocity looks fine. In fact, as I see him pitch, I think if his arm doesn't fall off, he'll be back to being an ace for us and could pan out. If he can be a #3 starter next year, I'll be happy with that. Days of him being an ace are long gone, and were before the injury in my opinion.
  23. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:02 AM) How the hell does that turn into a triple. Bourjos is so f***ing fast. And Pierre has my arm. Juan Pierre can't get an extra base hit, but he sure contributes to them on defense. Unreal how bad he is this season.
  24. Probably going to be a rough inning for Peavy.
