  1. My gosh Beckham strikes out a lot. I love Wimpy ripping on him.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 14, 2011 -> 10:23 PM) Wait a minute? We didn't score? I left for about 20 minutes. Soft lineout to first and Ramirez was 10 feet off of third. It was close to bouncing, but even then, he shouldn't have been going on contact.
  3. Quentin swinging an invisible bat today.
  4. More terrible fundamentals by the White Sox. Unreal...yet I'm sure no one will be held accountable.
  5. There we go Dunn!! Got to get two runs this inning.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2011 -> 09:55 PM) That's the linedriviest weak popup I've ever seen. You're making it sound like it was similar to Beckham's sac fly last night.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2011 -> 09:54 PM) The 7 and 9 hitters nailed the ball and the #8 hitter got our first hit. Seriously, Morel hit a weak pop up.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2011 -> 09:53 PM) He nailed the ball on pitch 2, just right at the RF. Hardest hit ball we've had I think. Are you kidding me? It was a weak fly ball. I feel like I'm watching a different game then.
  9. Well, at least the pitcher doesn't have to lead off next inning for us. Just have to shake your head at our 6-7-8-9-1 today.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) He's snapped off a couple good pitches but he's got no consistency, and the fastball is generally up so far. Seems to be throwing a lot of change-ups, and they've all been up.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2011 -> 09:52 PM) Please tell me Brent Morel is not sacrificing with 1 out and a man on 1b. Probably would have been only way he could be productive. I still can't believe he's playing today.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2011 -> 09:48 PM) Again, how does Humber pitching yesterday make Gavin have no life on his pitches? I'm saying general rule of thumb in baseball is you try to split up your rotation so you don't have similar pitchers going on consecutive days. You know this, I don't know why you're being difficult about it. I never said it has anything to do with Gavin's stuff sucking today. He either isn't 100% healthy or just not focused.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2011 -> 08:43 PM) The A's haven't exactly hit him hard or looked like they're exceptionally on the ball, Gavin's just been inconsistent in the zone. Unless Humber took Floyd out to celebrate, that is a solution for the wrong problem. Crisp twice, Willingham, Kouz, and Barton have hit him hard. There's no life on Gavin's pitches today.
  14. I just don't like having virtually the same pitcher going on consecutive nights.
  15. Pena's gonna have to go like 4 innings today.
  16. Gavin's determined to throw 80% of his pitches tonight above the belt. He doesn't look comfortable at all on the mound. I really hope we start separating him and Humber in the rotation.
  17. Holy cow, our boys must have had a late night last night. Everyone seems a step slow today. Beckham needs to keep that in front of him.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2011 -> 08:36 PM) Some solid curveballs have been snapped off in these first 2 batters. Weird pitch selection to Kouz with 2 strikes.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2011 -> 08:32 PM) Rios could not possibly have swung the bat farther away from that pitch. He'd have gotten closer to it if it was a pitchout. I know the batting average against is similar, but it really seems like today is an odd game to stack the lineup with righties. That tight little slider by Ross seems tough on righties.
  20. Alex is flying open way too much. He has no prayer on an outside pitch. He needs to take a seat, as this can't continue much longer.
  21. Gavin's got nothing so far. Not sure if foot is still bugging him.
  22. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ May 14, 2011 -> 09:10 PM) Does JP ever get a hit? Man he's horrible Rongey today was saying how he started slow last year, and ended up having a good season. His views of a good season must be different than ours.
  23. Hopefully Dunn gets it going again. He looks feeble so far this series.
  24. I don't like Morel in the lineup. Ross made him look pathetic when we faced him in relief.
