What in the hell is Weber doing? His team is dead tired, and with 4 timeouts left, he doesn't call one and instead D.J. Richardson hits the side of the backboard. Any person who's watched Illini basketball knows this team can't play slow-down basketball, yet Illinois continues to take 30 seconds off the shot clock every possession.

I know I'm the king of hyperbole, but this might be the worst half of basketball I've ever seen. Not even Gus can make it seem fun.

Brandon Paul playing a really bad game so far. Bill Cole should be playing more in a game like this.

D.J. Richardson is just a waste of a spot on the floor right now. He turned a 3 on 1 into a 3 on 4 because he can't dribble the ball.

The rest of BYU isn't bad at all. Emery is a very solid guard, and Davies kept BYU in the game early on tonight. I like BYU's role players a lot more than Davidson's when Curry was there. San Diego State's length inside is impressive, but they don't shoot very well from the perimeter.

I know a lot of people in Illinois are familiar with Iman Shumpert. The light has gone on for Shumpert, and he's putting up some insane numbers. Nearly had a quadruple double tonight while shutting down the dangerous Malcolm Delaney. Usually I'd beg a GT player to stay around another year, but if he can be a first round pick, I'll be thrilled to see the local kid make the league.

Craft playing a phenomenal game for OSU. Games like tonight where Purdue really misses Hummel, as they only have 2 playmakers.

They kept finding ligament strains, etc., but nothing that needed surgery or was unlike what a lot of other pitchers had pitched through. Jason, I'll give you credit for posting the information about the cortisone shot and diabetes. Very interesting, if for nothing more than to know for future situations.

I think he was really struggling in the first half and seemed extremely lethargic for some reason. He then got injured towards first half, and after trying to play in the 2nd half with it on that first drive, he obviously didn't give the trainers the answers they wanted to hear. The only reason there's even the hint of controversy, IMO, is the lack of medical attention given to him after he was pulled.
