  1. What is worrisome about this series is that if Mauer Hardy, Young, and Kubel all are swinging the bats well, the Twins offense is going to take off. They'll eventually trade for a starting pitcher.
  2. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:33 PM) I would circle this date as the turning point of the fall. I didn't trust this team when they went 26-5, why should I start now. Oh, it could completely be the turning point. I think the turning point was more likely the Peavy injury, to be honest. The ripple effect that' going to have not only on the starting rotation, but on our ability to improve our offense, is what will keep us behind the Twins.
  3. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:32 PM) Good teams would of buried Blackburn when they had to chance and not leaving too many runners in scoring position. This team has no killer instincts at all. We were up 3 going into bottom of the 9th. This game falls on Jenks/Santos, no one else.
  4. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:30 PM) Again, it's not 1 game, it's 3 straight games....against the Twins, after the all-star break.....not a good trend to be setting. Something the first half of this season is to not trust anything with this team, good or bad. It's 3 losses...sure it sucks, but I GUARANTEE you that if the division comes down to 2 games in the end, there will be plenty of other chances we blew.
  5. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:29 PM) You know someone is overreacting when fathom is basically like, "STFU". Thanks...I think

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) A Rios ripping thread is soooo out of line. Like it would of mattered without his throw. He did us a favor...a quick death.
  7. QUOTE (Soxguy @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) It was one game. Plenty of games left vs twins and detroit. Yes it sucks, no need to panic though. THANK YOU! This isn't like the debacle in 2008 when Floyd/Jenks blew a big lead and then we lost in extras.
  8. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:26 PM) 3 horrible losses in a row to a division rival in a playoff hunt. It's going to go worse. Then you know what? This team wasn't going to contend for the AL Central regardless of what happened. This was a bad loss, but it does nothing to drastically alter what happens the rest of the season. If it does, then this team is a bunch of mental pansies.

Problem with Putz as closer is it will make our 7th/8th inning relief weaker. Santos cannot be counted on, and let's face it, our starting pitchers have no prayer of keeping up the torrid pace they were on.
  11. This made me not even want to watch The Club tonight.
  12. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:22 PM) Bobby's ERA is above 5 and his whip is north of 1.5. He's not good. If Ozzie has any neurons firing in his brain he'll have Putz be the closer. But that's only his 2nd blown save!!
  13. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) That's 3 loses in a row. That's called a losing streak. Get use to it folks, the real Chicago White Sox are back. They'll be 6 games out in 2 weeks. Season. Over. Shut the hell up
  14. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) Worst loss of the season? oh yeah, not even close.
  15. Too bad Cuddyer wasn't bunting there. Our idiot of a manager would have.
  16. Wow, terrible loss. Not much else to say.
  17. Santos hasn't had good control of his fastball in months. Better start calling for offspeed pitches.
  18. Walk him to set up the 5-2-3 DP...good idea Sergio
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 18, 2010 -> 09:14 PM) Gimme a break. It's not Castro's fault that Jenks couldn't throw it in the ocean from a boat. The Twins were just sitting on that fastball though. Cuddyer is way too good of a hitter to throw him 7 straight of the same pitches.
  20. Jenks has to be injured, there's no other excuse for such a mediocre fastball.
  21. Shame on you Ozzie! I also never want to see Castro catch for Jenks again.
  22. Seriously, what the hell is this sinker bulls***? It's what he was throwing earlier in the year when he sucked.
  23. Ok, PULL HIM! He has nothing, that was a terrible pitch.
  24. Castro really blew that Hudson AB by not calling for an offspeed pitch.
