QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:22 PM) I can't even find a creative response to this. You're comparing Lakers/Celtics to the WNBA? I can understand why you'd prefer the Hockey game, but don't begrudge those of us who'd like to watch the basketball game. I've enjoyed the NBA playoffs this year. If the Hawks weren't in the Stanley Cup, I wouldn't watch a second of hockey. -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:22 PM) Why, because people haven't jumped off a bridge yet? The conversation has remained more about substance for the most part than people saying how they'll never watch a game again, etc. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:19 PM) GMAFB. How thrilled were we last night when AJ grounded out softly with 3-0? How many 3-0 groundouts do we need? It's not the likes of AJP that should be getting the 3-0 green light. More like Konerko/Quentin/Rios/Jones. Instead, we get Nix, AJP, and Kotsay getting the green light. -

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:19 PM) Completely agree. I mean, coming into the season we had Beckham to look forward to. But it's June 6th, and he's still clueless at the plate. And we all know how much our farm system sucks. We have no legit talent down there who can come up and provide for this team. And two of the 5 potential difference-making prospects suffered horrible injuries this season costing them an entire year of development. -

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:18 PM) So emotional, this group. Deep breaths. I've actually been amazingly surprised at how well we've handled this terrible season on this board. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:17 PM) Really? You think part of the problem with these guys is not being sufficiently aggressive? No, better approach at the plate. Since Ozzie won't fire Walker, then Ozzie needs to go in order to get a new hitting coach installed. I wish we'd just get rid of all the coaches, including KW. Time to start over, and have a group of characters that don't have more job security than a bosses' son. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:14 PM) The real question you have to ask is...can you find a manager who will do a better job with the future of the team? Yes, I believe you can find a manager who handles the rebuilding movement better. Ozzie's never been one that enjoys using young players, and heck, maybe young players are scared of him? Also, some changes in philosophy, such as being more aggressive with 3-0 hitting would be nice to see. -

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 08:13 PM) Is this the worst time in recent memory to be a White Sox fan? Take into account the state of the minor league organization and the fact that the 2007 team was crippled by injuries. Yes, without a doubt. There's really not much to be excited about regarding the future of this team over the next 2-3 years. -

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:10 PM) on just about any other team but this one. I don't care what konerko or anyone else says, they've given up. Well, Konerko is a terrible leader, so no one should care what he says anyways. -

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:07 PM) 7 in a row retired by a pitcher who is a shell of his former self. And I guarantee gets more in a trade in the next month than anyone besides Thornton possibly could. -

I'm actually getting excited at possible personnel changes in the next 24 hours. This is definitely a manager terminated-esque season/home stand. -

Another BLAST by Beckham. Watching him try to turn on inside pitches is vomit-worthy. Walker's doing an amazing job with his mechanics. -

QUOTE (OilCan @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:00 PM) Good grief. What has happened to BurlyMon??? It's a case of a finesse pitcher that has no confidence in his stuff/command. Should have seen this coming when he was talking in the offseason about how he knows he's lost a lot of stuff. -

Haha, comically bad doesn't even describe this. If people don't lose their job in the next 24 hours, then JR should be f***ing ashamed of himself. -

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:58 PM) 100% guarantee Ozzie won't be fired tomorrow. We need Mariotti to start covering this team again so Ozzie will call him a bad name. -

Wow, this is one of Buehrle's worst starts I can ever recall. Absolutely pathetic, heartless effort by him. How are more people not booing at the Cell? -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 06:55 PM) Why would you want to do that right now? Cause even if he's struggling, he's a focal point of our starting rotation going forward. Not like we're looking to have a 30 million dollar payroll.
-
QUOTE (WCSox @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:53 PM) If Kenny going into rebuilding mode, I agree. If not, I'm not comfortable with Floyd, Hudson, and an unknown making up 60% of the rotation. But you use some of the money you free up from Buehrle's contract to extend Danks.

PK has been really average scooping balls in the dirt this year. That was a play PK has to stretch more in order to get on the short hop. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 07:28 PM) Everything he hits is a line drive. It's truly amazing -
Mark Buehrle is the person we need to be trying to trade. Said it before the season, and I'll say it now. There's a ton of miles on that left shoulder of his. I'd be willing for the Sox to include some money when trading him if it meant getting some top prospects.
