Conspiracy thread
The only conspiracy that I could possibly buy into with regards to 911 is if Flight 93 crashed or if it was shot down.

Galarraga perfect game broken up by umpire
I love how it's been called the first ever 28 out perfect game. Joyce better be careful, as Leyland will put his cigarette out on his arm and then Cabrera will pour alcohol on the wound.

6/2/10 Sox vs Rangers 7:10, CSN+
Ugh, another hitless day for Beckham and Quentin. All the momentum with those two from yesterday is gone.

Ken Griffey, Jr Retires
I'll always remember his amazing catch against the Twins to win the play-in game for Seattle.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 02:58 AM) if randy williams were released today, would anyone pick him up? Does Eric Byrnes' softball team need a LOOGY?

Holy cow Quentin, what an amazing catch!

2010 MLB Draft Catch All
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 01:56 AM) I'm praying that this organization is watching the team they've put on the field and making the choice to spend some money and taking a chance. Not a chance in hell they go over slot, especially based on how this season is going.

Not going to lie, I'm rooting for Texas to score 10 runs off of Randy here.

Yay, Randy Williams is warming up! Can't we just pitch Kotsay? f*** this team, at least 2007 had the home run bombers in the middle of the lineup.

Who should get a shot?
QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 02:38 AM) This may be the worst way you could handle the Flowers/future catcher situation. If he continues to struggle in AAA this year, you can't go into next season with him in your 25 man plans. Sadly, that was what their plan was with AJP/Castro likely on their way out of town. Maybe getting Flowers into a culture with better contact players, instead of being around the swing and whiff gods in Charlotte would do him wonders.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 02:35 AM) PETCO obviously factored into Jake's numbers as well. But fathom, you know enough about baseball and have watched Jake enough too, you honestly wouldn't have thought that he'd be this bad this year, especially after his few starts last fall. Sometimes good players just have bad years. Truth be told, I was on here last year asking "why is his fastball only 91-93 mph"? I thought his slider would be a lot better than it was, as we were all worried it would be the high fastball that would do him in. It's not like Peavy's really been burned by the long ball.

Who should get a shot?
I think you promote Flowers and hope he can catch up to the speed of the big leagues. If not, then he won't be in your plans for next season.
-
Who should get a shot?
David Cook and Brad Eldred! In all honesty, Hudson/Torres/Flowers

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 02:29 AM) In the NL, in PETCO. And if the deal is Peavy for Clayton Richard, I'll still take the Cy Young winner. But if you bring up the PETCO factor, then why doesn't the same hold true with Peavy?

First pitch swinging, weak result following Quentin. Looks like a backwards step for the Bust Brothers.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 02:27 AM) Nobody jumped at him last year when he was a Padre. Why would they change a year later, especially with his struggles? I agree, they won't. I was saying that if you could find someone that would be willing to, then you drive Peavy to the airport.

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 02:27 AM) I think if Kenny traded Peavy right now, it'd go down as one of his all-time worst moves, IMO. He showed he's willing to do it with the Swisher debacle.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 02:25 AM) Even though I don't think we gave up anything worth a s*** for him, I don't think the value we'd get back would be very good. I think you'd have better luck either playing out the string with him this year and dealing him in the offseason if you're determined to move him or let him pitch into 2011. I still think he's going to improve his numbers, right now would be the ultimate sell-low on him. But if someone is basically willing to take on his contract, I think you bail and use that money in different ways. And I'm sorry, Richard is a decent starting pitcher.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 01:24 AM) AJ > Napoli I know LA is struggling but they won't give up in that division. Didn't Napoli have a great May? The Rangers are a good fit for AJP

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 01:20 AM) At this point, anybody on the roster not named Jake Peavy (I'm still a believer), Gordon Beckham, Alex Rios, Matt Thornton and Sergio Santos is fair game, IMO. Even if you're a believer in Peavy, you should jump at the chance to trade him if someone is willing to take him.

Galarraga perfect game broken up by umpire
QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jun 3, 2010 -> 01:05 AM) I'm talking about in his interview after the game. He didn't even say a bad thing about the ump, just complimented his teammates and talked about how great of an experience it was. It was amazing to listen to. I absolutely love every post you make

Oh yay, bad Gordon is back! and jphat, I agree. The more time passes, the more I'm grateful we capitalized on "The Season" to win it all.
