  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 02:06 AM) Gordo's head is moving all over the place right now. He needs to go back to thinking right and right center, and cut down on the movement. The entire 1-2-3 of this lineup looks miserable at the plate
  2. QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 03:01 AM) Danks has been unreal...they need to lock him up and avoid arb....hes going to get really expensive soon About 5 times a year, he resembles Johan out on the mound.
  3. Alexei's taking good swings lately, ball's just not carrying off his bat.
  4. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 01:48 AM) How does Jones swing look? Fantastic, he's had the best at bats of anyone on the Sox all year.
  5. Haha, I was just waiting for AJP to get a hit there after our previous discussion.
  6. Danks with not a lot on his pitches this inning. He's going to have to make a real good pitch coming up to keep the Sox in the lead.
  7. After a few near homers this inning, funny to see Crawford get a hit on that.
  8. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 01:38 AM) I agree with AJ not being in the lineup, but to blame Ozzie for the Rays IBB of Rios is unfair IMO. Why, it's the job of the manager to anticipate the next move.
  9. Should have been a DP, pretty weak throw and bad scoop attempt. You have to turn those against a team like Tampa.
  10. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 02:32 AM) That's quite a stretch to blame Ozzie for the Rays intentionally walking Rios. You (and others) probably would have b****ed if ozzie let AJ hit, and then he GIDP. I have no problem with Ozzie having AJ bunt. It's not like AJ was likely to have a productive AB anyway. If I never see a bunt again, I will be happy. If you don't think someone can have a productive at bat against a pitcher, either don't play him or don't bat him 6th.
  11. Ugh, can't walk their worse hitter. And yes, with the way AJP is struggling, I feel Lucy has a better chance. He at least has a short swing going for him.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 01:27 AM) really. The way AJ is swinging the bat, I have no problem with him just moving guys over. The way he has been going he would have just lined into a one hop double play on the first pitch. He just shouldn't be playing tonight, especially facing two righties in the remainder of the series. By bunting AJP, Ozzie made it so easy for Tampa to not face Rios and go after the lefty.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 02:24 AM) Who? AJ? No, Rios
  14. Pierre is just an out machine. These lefties have no prayer against Price.
  15. More great coaching this season...it's like Ozzie's doing everything in his power to take the bat out of our best hitter's hands in big spots.
  16. Yep, no excuse for 3 lefties in the lineup today. I can't believe we're bunting in the 4th inning against a great offensive team.
  17. A disturbing trend with Beckham is that he's not hitting the ball hard at all. His bat speed seems behind, as he keeps flipping lazy fly balls to right. He'll pick it up.
