3 shots in the first half for a player that in my mind should be the #1 pick in the NBA Draft, D. Favors. I hate you Paul Hewitt, go stick a kid in an electrical closet so your ass can get fired.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 10:17 PM) Wow that is some dirty pool right there... Chasing down someone's estranged father to try to recruit them? Damn. Turner's the same person who one day said Illinois was his leader, and the very next day, announced he was going to Ohio St. I love Turner though, as he seems to hate Weber and the Illini as much as I do.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 11:12 PM) Rios in the OF and a healthy Quentin? Let's just hope Quentin can stay healthy!

I'm already sick of hearing Hawk say how it's going to be a different team this year as we have a lot more speed. We really only upgraded our speed at DH, and even then, Kotsay isn't fast at all. The upgrade from Pods to Pierre is evened out by the downgrade from Getz to Teahen, with regards to speed.

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 10:07 PM) LOL. For Joe Cowley maybe. Nobody cares about what Oney Guillen has to say. Yes, but if you get him sharing some of the details about the organization that he would know about (PED use, etc.), then you have yourself a problem. Someone should shut him up now!

If you haven't seen it, go over to the catch-all thread. Oney Guillen with some ridiculous comments/threats. I feel like this is about to become a huge story.

2010 Chicago White Sox Spring Training
Wow, Oney's about to make his life very difficult.

I'm looking forward to the inevitable fight in round 2 between Cousins and Chas McFarland. Battle of two of the biggest pieces of crap to ever play college basketball. I hope they get into a fight and both can never play basketball again.

First AB I've seen from Teahen all ST, and yes, he's definitely in-between. He also looks to have no confidence either.

Haha, 2 run homer allowed by Linebrink. He has nothing left.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 09:29 PM) Linebrink says he's been feeling better this spring. Let's see a nice 1-2-3. Looks like the same crappy pitcher. Fastballs up and over the plate with average velocity.

Haven't followed ST for a week, but is Teahen still hitting in the .100 range?

QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 09:09 PM) 1 point in the final 5 minutes for Wofford. Gotta think Cornell can take out Wisconsin come Sunday. Outside of Kentucky, I would say Cornell and Ohio have been the 2 best teams so far. Cornell played fantastic today against a great defensive team.

Wow did Wofford f***ing suck the last 4 minutes or so.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) Gordo might see a few fastballs this year with Pierre on base, and he probably will enjoy CQ protecting him in the lineup as well. I was really pleased to see Beckham's aggressive swing with Pierre running. Iguchi always struggled to swing aggressively with Pods in motion.

Can we please make "Bacon" a filtered word on this site? Let's just call him Beckham or Gordon or Gordo.

I think Cal's going to destroy Louisville. The Big East looks awful so far, and Cal has the outside shooting to put Louisville away. I love watching Jerome Randle play, easily one of the most underrated players in the country.

I just had a feeling that there was no way the games today were going to be good after we got so spoiled yesterday. With over half the games yesterday decided by less than 3 points, I'll be surprised if there's 3 games decided by less than that margin.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) What would the call be? A heads up play by throwing the ball off an opponent and then not saying anything while the guy tried to come after him? I hate the guy too, but there was zero foul there whatsoever. Taunting

QUOTE (daa84 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 07:07 PM) my guess is its about recruiting...i would imagine its significantly easier to convince kids to go to a warm weather school than minnesota...though its not as big of a deal as in football or baseball Auburn has a very small recruiting base for basketball, as most of the guys they get are from Georgia. BTW, my source heard this from a current recruit of Auburn's, so it sounds like it's more than just an internet rumor.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 19, 2010 -> 06:33 PM) lol. I just heard CBSsportsline reported it... YOUR SOURCE IS OUT NOW FATHOM! yeah, it was funny how I heard that on TV about 10 minutes after someone I really trust (a close friend of the GT program) reported this on a GT board. Tubby should have waited to see if Hewitt was going to leave GT, as I'm sure he would have been in play there.

Tubby's leaving for Auburn after this game, according to a great source.

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 18, 2010 -> 07:33 PM) The foul on the jump ball was bad but Nova didn't score and refs called a make up call the next time down. Not the refs fault RM blew an 8 pt lead with 3 mins left. The jump ball with a minute or so left in regulation that was called a foul on RM was a pretty awful call. Nova was allowed to play extremely aggressive defense in the 2nd half, while every little contact was called on RM.
