  1. Wow, that was absolutely pathetic by Beckham there. Navarro's one of the slowest runners in baseball also.
  2. You have to think Wise scores on Beckham's single...damn
  3. Alexei was swinging way too hard in that AB. As jphat keeps saying, our execution has been awful lately.
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 22, 2009 -> 01:59 AM) Really, why wasn't he in once Q was HBP? Wondering that also
  5. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 09:57 PM) Switch Getz and Beckham and that is our best lineup ALL season. I love Beckham batting behind Getz though. Do you think AJP or CQ would have a chance in hell on scoring on a Beckham double? Also, this gives Ozzie's some options with a hit-and-run, etc.
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 09:53 PM) So this means we'll have Richard, Colon, and Torres all starting in the same week? Wow... I'm disappointed that Leyland adjusted Tigers rotation so we'll get Verlander, Jackson, and Porcello this wknd. I was hopeful we'd miss Verlander.
  7. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 03:34 AM) hat tip to AJ's throws tonight His pitch calling in the 8th and 9th was fantastic
  8. I'm so happy they won just so we don't have to argue about Pods.
  9. I hope Alexei's playing in the hole with all these inside sinkers.
  10. That fastball looks like it has nothing on it. Pods better play shallow, as they have no speed on 2nd base.
  11. Pods, you have to be freaking kidding me! Go catch the ball!
  12. Ugh...use the offspeed pitches here instead of the fastball. The fastball has not been good so far tonight.
  13. I love that pitch so much from him. Nothing on the inside to Pat.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 02:47 AM) Everyone in the organization will have to lock up their wives. Didn't he have some fun with Sandburg's ex? yes, as did Palmeiro which led to him being traded.
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 02:45 AM) I tell ya what. With Maddon's knowledge, and learning about the game, Dave Martinez is gonna be one hell of a manager someday. I'd love to see him manage against Ryne Sandberg.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 03:39 AM) What happened to his slider? He's never really thrown one. Fastball/split basically
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 21, 2009 -> 03:36 AM) What pitcher in the bullpen isn't scary right now? We have to get something out of Pena, Linebrink seems done, at least for now...until his good fastball comes back. Can't believe we didn't score in the bottom of the 6th or 7th, let's hope it can stand up. By all appearances on the net, though, a great game...very entertaining. Wish we could have put it away earlier, but we can still score some runs here. Linebrink's fastball is at 93-94 mph. The problem is it's so straight, and he rarely throws an offspeed pitch. He had pinpoint control the first half of last year, and that has totally abandoned him.
