  1. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 06:15 PM) He dropped/missed AJ's throw to third on the steal, somehow. Pretty catchable. Would the runner have been out?
  2. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 07:13 PM) 1-0 Indians on a drop by Beckham. Drop in which way?
  3. Could Nix have caught Cabrera's double? I fully anticipate this being Richard's last start for a few months.
  4. Oney's also his direct report regarding CQ's health.
  5. I've always felt we don't do a good job of treating Richard like a young pitcher. Even last year, it seemed like he would start a game one day and then throw 3 innings out of the bullpen 3 days later. In some ways, he was our own Terry Mulholland.
  6. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 04:16 PM) It was at this point a month and a half ago. They need to get a left fielder for this year and for the future. CQ will move to right. Yes, but we gave him a month and a half to improve and it sounds like he's not even close to being able to run ok.
  7. It's to the point with Quentin where they have to decide if they want to risk him playing in pain or just want to shut him down. If they decide to shut him down they desperately need to acquire another outfielder.
  8. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 02:33 AM) I'd play Wise over Getz or Anderson...............I can't beleive I typed that., No thanks to seeing Wise against LHP.
  9. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 02:33 AM) I'd love to get Cody Ross from the Marlins. Young, cheap with tremendous pop. They want the world for Ross.
  10. I'm all for playing Nix in LF, Pods in CF, and Getz at 2nd tomorrow.
  11. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 02:16 AM) I'll never forget that Span triple off of Bobby. I think I remember fathom yelling that he was only throwing fastballs. I can't believe that Jenks retired them on 8 pitches in the tiebreaker
  12. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 03:14 AM) do you ever get this weird feeling in your stomach when the sox are leading by one or two going into the 8th inning at the metrodome? Do you know me at all? I get a weird feeling if the Sox are up 20 runs with 2 outs in the 9th! But I know what you mean. Twins know that they can comeback in the Dome.
  13. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 03:11 AM) you know it seems to me like we are clicking on all cylinders right now i just hope the All-Star Break doesnt cool the bats down Before the ASB will be an even bigger test at Minnesota.
  14. Damn, Contreras really hit the wall this inning. Thought that was a DP off the bat.
  15. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 01:48 AM) Fields and Anderson are a combined 0-6 tonight. Castro at least has driven the ball to the warning track a few times tonite Fields hasn't looked awful. I hope Ozzie continues to get him playing time against soft tossing LHP.
  16. Wow Anderson...one more at bat for a clean 50 against LHP.
  17. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 01:43 AM) He's done great. He's been fun to watch even when he was struggling. If Q can get back and be healthy this could be an exciting team to watch down the stretch. Yeah, I've already forgiven him for going to UGa.
  18. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 01:42 AM) idk he looked pretty impressive when he threw that one hitter against kc a few years ago That complete game against the Twins towards the end of 2005, where the Twins hitters (J. Jones in particular) knew the fork ball was coming and still had no prayer.
  19. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 9, 2009 -> 01:39 AM) I'm glad KW, Ozzie, and COop didn't give up on Jose like a lot of people did (including me) What's your thoughts on Beckham so far? At least you've never waivered on your hate for Anderson.
  20. After that 1st inning, Jose is throwing some fantastic fork balls.
