  1. Hawk is getting pretty pissed off about Bartolo. There really should be someone up in the pen.
  2. Great, more awful defense by Castro. Good throw by Wise, but Castro dropped the ball.
  3. Sweet, we keep giving away outs. Pods shouldn't be waiting until there are 2 strikes to try and steal.
  4. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 12:11 AM) Dewayne Wise first pitch hunting popup to 2nd. Glad Guillen said he wanted to get him more ABs. f*** Maybe Buehrle's gift to him will be hitting lessons?
  5. Not sure how Guillen missed that, but it makes up for the blown called 3rd.
  6. Where the hell was that pitch to Cabrera? Shouldn't have even been in question.
  7. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 01:00 AM) He is saving his hit and run calls for non contact guys like Wise. Awful...I knew he was going to play Wise both games today. No excuse for it to not be Pods playing both games.
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 01:00 AM) f***ing dp's, we're letting this guy off the hook! He has nothing, but this umpire calling pitches at the ankles isn't helping.
  9. Beckham roped that ball but Inge made the nice play. I don't understand why they don't hit-and-run every situation they can with Getz on and Beckham batting.
  10. Dye just crushed that!
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 10:16 PM) Why was Castro not catching Jose today? Pretty sure AJP's had good success vs Verlander in the past.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 07:07 PM) The Tigers aren't exactly throwing out a great starter. So how about all of you b****ing just shut-up already (yeah, I said it). Verlander vs Contreras was clearly a game in there favor. I can't say the same about tonight's match-up where I believe the Sox are the favorites. Wait, we're not facing Edwin Jackson tonight? That makes me feel much better, as I thought it was Colon vs Jackson.
  13. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 07:04 PM) Colon. Today just has one of those feels, hope Im wrong. Haha, I was hoping for a rain out today
  14. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 07:01 PM) Hello 2GB A split would be heavenly, but even being back 2 games after this weekend wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
  15. Just got to a computer today to see what's going on. I can't believe Pods isn't playing in what is such a big game. I don't care if it's a doubleheader...he needs to be playing both games.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 02:50 AM) Colon wouldn't be ready in time for Danks next start so that would mean the Sox would have to skip a turn in the rotation. If Torres has already been sent down though, it'll be too late and both him and Poreda will be unavailable. I don't believe the 10 day rule applies to DL issues for other players.
  17. Awesome footage on ESPN of the Phillies going nuts in their locker room over Wise's catch.

Parque picked the bad day if he wanted to get any attention with this.
  19. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 03:09 AM) We are now tied for first place in the central! This weekend against the tigers should be a fun one. A split this weekend would be fantastic
  20. But yeah, Game 163 was the best game I've ever been to. The only other game that could have topped that was Game 2 of the WS.
  21. It was a pretty meaningless game, but the Sox-Yankees game from a while back where Carlos Lee homered off of Rivera and then Valentin won it in the 9th was amazing, as there was a long rain delay and 90 pct of the crowd was wasted by the time it ended.
  22. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 01:25 AM) Yea it's decided.. Every Mark Buehrle start you don't get to watch. two hours and 3 minutes of my life I'll find something else to do
  23. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 02:17 AM) Both you and John Danks are no longer allowed to be around when Mark Buehrle pitches. I also missed his first no hitter...but I swear I've missed some games where he got rocked!!
  24. So I missed the game today due to a company picnic. Anything cool happen?
  25. QUOTE (GO CHI SOX! @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 06:20 AM) You guys think they were there to scout Torres? Qualls is probably who KW is interested in. Maybe Doug Davis or Chad Tracy? Max Scherzer would be nice but pricey. Justin Upton? I think I should keep dreaming on that one. Chris Young as 4th outfielder? I don't even know if I'm kidding.
