  1. Ya, Fields should have never been batting against Bailey. This offense just sucks at home.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 03:32 AM) Can we at least give Anderson 1 chance to be the regular, every day starter before we say that? Please? Just once? It's never going to happen. If it didn't happen this year, it never will.
  3. That Braves lineup is just terrible. Hopefully they win tomorrow and win the series.
  4. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 03:28 AM) BA is our boy now, I hope he is on this team for years to come. Gross...if KW doesn't find someone better to play CF in the years to come, both KW and BA need to be gone.
  5. Nice catch by Davis out there. Very disappointing start to this home stand by our offense. Of course, this was another gam
  6. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 03:23 AM) This article really set me off. You can not have your manager defending a guy whose hitting .179 like that. Why not? Ozzie's a player's manager, so he's going to stick up for members of his roster.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 03:16 AM) Why do I get the feeling that Ozzie will find a way to bench Beckham to get Wise at-bats? Ozzie's already gone out of his way to tell the fans not to get too excited about Beckham. I'm sure you're right.
  8. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:13 AM) Only for the last 2 decades. The Sox have been like this against new pitchers since the 80's. Agreed, but it's get a lot more publicity now.
  9. Ozzie's going to have to find a way to get Beckham into the lineup. With our offense struggling, it would be great to add him and then CQ in a week.
  10. You have to worry that our production against newcomers has become a mental thing.
  11. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 01:42 AM) Check out the new DeWayne Wise defense article on ChiSox.com. Apparently Ozzie thinks that Wise will get better the more he hits, so I'd be prepared for him playing a lot, even if he doesn't hit. Some pretty stupid quotes in that one, including saying Wise faced Greinke and we still won.
  12. QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 01:37 AM) So I cut my ear a bit with my razor earlier, it's been bleeding for over 90 minutes. Not bad, but it won't stop. Any suggestions? Evander Holyfield's at the Braves/Cubs game, so why don't you call him?
  13. The difference in tonight's game is that the A's are crushing every bad pitch made, and we're not getting hits on the numerous bad pitches made by Outman. We're going to see some nasty relievers tonight from the A's with Bailey, Wuertz, etc.
  14. Goodness, Alexei desperately needs a day off. Just not squaring anything up.
  15. Getting a lot of good swings tonight, just too much WTP and untimely DPs
  16. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:29 AM) Good lord, don't even suggest such. Vomit in my mouth isn't what I consider a nice mid evening snack. Is it even in question anymore?
  17. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:30 AM) First, the flu, but second - lets not pretend peavy has accomplished nothing solely to make ourselves feel better. His ERA is well over 4 this year. It's just disgusting how many people were waiting for a bad start by Richard to jump off the bandwagon so quickly.
  18. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:27 AM) Good thing we didnt lose Clay Richard in a Jake Peavy trade. Lets wait more than two starts before saying such a thing publicly next time. Yeah, if we have Peavy, he could have gone 1 inning and allowed 4 runs.
  19. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:26 AM) hahahahaha that's for you shipps. clayton is awesome tonight Any of our pitchers would get crushed with this umpire tonight. I see absolutely no point in you being happy that he's struggling. If you want him traded (which it seems from your posts), you should want him to keep pitching well.
  20. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:24 AM) Who is he gonna lose the CF job to? I see nothing anywhere close to MLB ready that is gonna step up and be a real CFer that we need sadly. He's going to lose his job to Pods, that's almost a guarantee right now.
  21. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 4, 2009 -> 02:20 AM) Anderson's arm and glove is still worth the start. No, it's really not. Maybe if you have Quentin going off in LF and a good hitting middle infielder. On this particular squad, we need more punch from CF. BA will have no one to blame but himself when he's a 4th outfielder come June 10th.
