  1. Lillibridge is just so overmatched....as I duck from Thunderbolt
  2. What were Colon's results?
  3. Anyone ruling out Owens as the favorite right now is probably wrong. I heard a radio clip tonight where Ozzie said Owens is swinging the bat great right now, he's just not finding holes.
  4. LSU could be a bad match-up for UNC. UNC can't guard the three, and Thornton's a fantastic player. Johnson has huge length, which could give Hansbrough fits.
  5. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 10:30 PM) Illanoy has to play WKU and if they survive, Gonzaga in the NW, cmon. Gonzaga is the soft type of team thought that Weber thrives against though.
  6. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 15, 2009 -> 11:29 PM) Jesus, the South is stacked! Syracuse isn't a great 3 seed, but Arizona St. is a great 6 seed.
  7. No way Illinois deserves a 5 with Frazier gone
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 14, 2009 -> 10:37 PM) Honestly, though, I haven't seen Egbert throw....does he have a chance to make the back of the pen? I haven't seen him pitch...who knows what his chances are. First time seeing Lillibridge hit....about as overmatched as expected.
  9. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 14, 2009 -> 09:34 PM) You're hurting Timo's feelings. I would never knowingly say something bad about him.
  10. Betemit's easily going to be the most dangerous PH we've had in a long time.
  11. I've said this a few times...KW should have acquired another righty reliever this offseason.
  12. Wise is 0-3 with 3 K I still can't believe KW didn't address the CF position this offseason.
  13. QUOTE (Elgin Slim @ Mar 14, 2009 -> 09:46 PM) I'm starting to get worried about Quentin. His bat looks considerably slower than last year, which is exactly what I feared when he had the wrist injury. I'm more concerned that he's rolling over on everything at the plate.
  14. If Quentin played this way last ST, he might have started the year in A ball.
  15. Getz is easily the quickest player on the Sox from the batter's box to first.
  16. Just go with the Wise-Anderson platoon, and tell Owens to try out for the Bears.
  17. I'm just hoping Favors is so talented that he makes Hewitt into a better coach.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2009 -> 09:57 PM) Owens with a soft grounder to SS, no throw attempted, infield hit. Crap
  19. Frazier's out for the year, but it's not being reported yet. Rightfully so, Illinois doesn't want to give the committee any reason to lower their seed.
  20. One of the best games ever!
  21. I've realized that I'm a bigger fan of DWise than a lot of people on here.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 09:41 PM) Ozzie and Kenny came out today and said that speed doesnt matter to them for a leadoff hitter. Sounds like a final motivational ploy to get Owens going.
  23. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Mar 12, 2009 -> 08:59 PM) I'm happy GT beat Clemson, but now I'm worried about playing them for some reason. Hopefully we win and VT beats UNC. GT is playing good ball lately, as Lewis Clinch has turned into a scoring machine. It was a terrible year, as the 2-14 illustrates. However, with decent coaching and any luck, they would have been 10-6. I believe they lost 8 conference games in which they led or tied with 2 minutes or less.
  24. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 11, 2009 -> 03:35 PM) Perhaps its me being an Illinois homer, but it's ridiculous to me that Chester Frazier didn't win Defensive player of the year and that Weber didn't win Coach of the Year. I'm fine with the media choosing Dechellis, but Izzo? Come on... Michigan State won the conference by a large margin while dealing with injuries to 3 of its 4 best players this season. Weber would have had a chance, but it's not like the Illini played very well the last month of the season. I agree that Dechellis should have won. I actually thought the best coaching job in the conference was done by Carmody.
  25. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Mar 10, 2009 -> 11:14 PM) f*** Orlando Cabrera, and by the rules there's no way he could've realistically signed with the Sox for less than $10 million. Ozzie hated him and he was a selfish player. He can be the leading AL out maker some place else, and he can benefit from a team that doesn't put much value on defense. I read the other day that some analyst reviewed every play and he had the most missed plays of any SS in baseball with 86.
