It is very conceivable that he threw his bat and tried to catch it while the bat hit the wrist at the base of the thumb. Long-term prognosis is?

It's so weird, as I'm much more concerned about Quentin's long-term health compared to what he would have provided this last month. For some reason, I think we'll be fine on offense as long as we're at the Cell, and that another lefty bat in the lineup will benefit us.

Yep, it's funny how much attention has been given to Zambrano, and no one has focused on Quentin. Just because they're two of the best hitters in baseball, it doesn't mean that one should be given more attention than the other!
