  1. That ball looked foul.
  2. Wow, that was as cheap of a hit as you will see. Might want to get someone up, Gavin's allowing a ton of hits.
  3. Left work to come home and see Gomez get that triple. That 6 runs = beautiful.
  4. What I find comical is that KW came down to the locker room on Tuesday to look into the player's eyes to see if they were ready. Their body language and actions on the field show so much more than their "eyes" do. Situations like throwing to the wrong base, not knowing how many outs there are, and failing to run hard to first out of the box is what is really sickening.
  5. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:53 AM) Why sit Thome? What in the world did Wise do last night to stay in the leadoff spot. Griffey in LF, BA in CF. Screw that...sit Dye, put Griffey in RF (where he's the most comfortable), Anderson in CF, and Swisher in LF.
  6. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:51 AM) In my book for as lifeless they have been they deserve nothing less. Which is crazy considering that you can legitimately say they're tied if they lose after tonight.
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:51 AM) 5 hits in 2 plus innings not good for Sox! Brilliant handling of the rotation in September.
  8. If this team loses tonight, do you think they'll get booed tomorrow if they're not hitting early in the game?
  9. There is a 0 pct chance he's back next season.
  10. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:44 AM) blah blah blah blah. they're f***ing weak, and if it weren't for injuries on the sox this would be a match up of prospects. I have no idea what this means.
  11. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:43 AM) Possible perfect game tonight? If that happens, I hope Walker gets a restraining order on SSI.
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:43 AM) Nice, we still don't have a hit. This team is pulling the choke job of the decade. No, that would be the Mets from last year. Honestly, no one will care about this final week outside of Sox fans. I don't classify this as a choke. It's not like we blew a 6 or 7 game lead in the last month. I'm shocked people thought we'd actually compete in this series. The White Sox are one of the worst dome teams I've ever seen.
  13. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:42 AM) STFU Hawk, let that blown call go. Both teams gained a run due to a blown call yesterday.
  14. QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 01:38 AM) do they ever need to? hit 'em where they ain't. I hate how people think this is luck. They don't use an uppercut swing, and that allows them to hit a lot more choppers.
  15. Carlos Gomez owns us.
  16. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:34 AM) I don t think it s Walker s fault,we just got too many swing for the fences type players, old too How's it not Walker's fault that all of our hitters seem unaware that when the Sox have a man on base, the Twins pitcher will throw first pitch offspeed pitch? DJ was saying this all last night.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:33 AM) Young a career .398 hitter vs. CWS. Guess it just went down a bit. We deserve that for the stupid pitch we had Garcia throw at him in his major league debut. Since when was Ozzie the enforcer for Major League Baseball?
  18. This team doesn't believe in scouting the opposition. They believe in playing cards or wearing bibs or fornicating blow-up dolls.
  19. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 01:30 AM) WTF no hitter would be fun to watch If we lose tonight, I hope it's cause we get no-hit. If that doesn't cost people their jobs, nothing will.
  20. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 01:28 AM) This team is just going through the motions. This is worse corpseball than anything we ever experienced with Manuel.
  21. QUOTE (CQMVP @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 01:26 AM) He was not playing deep enough. Should have been back about 15 feet from where he was. He's also way too slow to be in CF, but, everyone in Chicago, aside from Ozzie and KW, already know this. How many runs has Griff cost us in CF this series? 5? About 3....but Dye and Wise's offense has cost us about 6.
  22. Good thing Griffey's in Center Field. And oh yeah Ozzie, that 4 man rotation thing worked out really, really well. I hope you quit.
  23. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 01:17 AM) Hawk already conceding the run Or you know, we can try a pitch out once every decade.
  24. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 12:14 AM) pretty liberal outside corner today...should help Gavins curve If Slowey gets a big outside corner, we have no chance.
