  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 26, 2008 -> 01:12 AM) Wise again and no BA in any of the 3 games I question Guillen on that one! It's inexcusable for Ozzie to keep this same lineup today. Also, I hope when Anderson's on a different team next season, he turns into a strong everyday player.
  2. Same lineup tonight? Haha....unbelievable.
  3. QUOTE (G&T @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 08:25 PM) I disagree. Just ask Jerry Manuel when he was pulling starters in 2000 and the pen blew the games (not that the offense helped). Plenty of managers will go to the pen because they think they have to. Weren't all those starters hurt and pitching on fumes in 2000?
  4. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 08:10 PM) What good is "managing your ass off" if it's poorly? Never gets his due? What exactly does he deserve accolades for? Am I misreading your post, or did you call Ozzie Manager of the Year? That's literally the dumbest, most ignorant thing I've heard on this board ALL YEAR. Ozzie is CLUELESS as an in-game manager. I'll just end it there to keep myself from being banned based on some of the obscenities I want to let out after reading someone calling Ozzie MOTY... You're not going to change the way someone views a player/manager/team. Don't try to make someone change their mind. Just post what you believe and keep your argument semi-logical.
  5. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 07:41 PM) Ozzie is basically one of those fools who refuses to leave an area that is about to be destroyed by a natural disaster. This post is f***ing hillarious.
  6. QUOTE (palehose23 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 09:01 AM) Hating Ozzie Guillen is dumb. You can disagree with his moves but he has managed his ass off this year and never gets his just due. I agree with you taking out Jermaine Dead but Ozzie is not to blame for this teams problems he has been the Manager of the Year IMHO Yeah, I think that Tampa manager just might win the Manager of the Year award.
  7. This is a shot at Hawk, and not Ozzie: If the Sox falter the rest of this week and fail to make the playoffs, I pray to Quentin that I never have to hear Hawk say "you know what Stoney, Ozzie would have won 3 World Series rings by now if not for the injuries to Ordonez/Thomas in 2004 and Quentin/Crede in 2008".
  8. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 03:52 AM) Let's hope it doesnt come to that. At this point, I'll be happy if we can get to this game.
  9. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 04:47 AM) Let's attempt to compile a complete list of all the winnable games we gave away this year. #1. The Dotel game in Oakland. - Game #1 of the season - Suspended game against Baltimore - Letting Wassermann and Ramirez pitch at Yankee Stadium - Blowing two different 4 run leads at the Twins
  10. In what context?
  11. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 03:28 AM) That's because there's no debate the White Sox are choking. Everyone is in agreement. Still, outside of maybe a few posters, no one is trying to tell others how to feel/post, etc.
  12. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 03:28 AM) What did Buehrle call the Twins after the game? "f***ers"? Did he really?
  13. I've always heard Tennessee is a most to attend on game day.
  14. I want to thank everyone for being civil on this site the last two days. It's made it much better than the back-and-forth that usually occurs with loser threads, etc.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 04:23 AM) We gave away so many games this year. And each time it happened, we were told it was just one game. It's biting us in the ass now, isn't it? It's known as the HoRam factor.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 04:20 AM) No offense, but Floyd is due to get roughed up in a "big" game. I pray otherwise, but I sense an 11-1, 12-1 laugher. Our only hope is to get back home, sweep and hope Meche and Greinke have something left. Greinke and DeJesus are out for the weekend series. Also, the Indians are playing fantastic baseball.
  17. I have an idea...how about the Rally Slowey?
  18. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 04:05 AM) Floyd has to win us the game tomorrow. He has to completely dominate the game because, if he doesn't, we lose this division. Our core guys should be absolutely ashamed of themselves (Dye). This is turning into a terrible, terrible end of the season. Fixed for you, as there's no way this can be considered a terrible season for us.
  19. This series is doing nothing to quiet the talk that Konerko and Dye lost all their fire after 2005.
  20. Why would you not watch this game? It's the most important game of the season. You've watched over 150 games to get to this point, and you're going to chicken out now?
  21. Swisher will be playing for Wise.
  22. Screw that...sit Dye. You can't keep playing him right now as he's absolutely useless.
  23. -So Wise has been playing well in the 2nd spot, and Cabrera has been solid this month in the 1st spot. Why in the hell did Ozzie flip them in the order? If it was to get Wise on and run with OC at the plate, then have Wise run in the 1st inning! -Griffey cannot hit LHP, it's plain and simple. With a bench full of players due to September call-ups, it's embarrassing that Griffey has been allowed to face LHP in the 8th inning in 2 of our last 4 games.
  24. Delete this thread and blow up any incriminating evidence.
  25. Let's just pretend the Rally Wise never happened. Ozzie's job should be on the line tomorrow....this team has quit on him.
