  1. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 09:59 PM) Who wants to watch little big league and see Griffey break those little twins hearts?!?!?!? You still have to question why they pitched to him with an open base in that big game.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 08:55 PM) Theres no way KGJ plays CF more than a few times. Just wait until everyone on here and the ESPN and 670 guys see how slow he is in the OF. I have such little faith that Ozzie can handle this well. However, I'm excited to see what Griffey Jr. can do in KC this weekend. I'd actually like to see him bat 2nd.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 08:47 PM) Unless he plays 1B, there isnt a whole lot to get excited about. We picked up a DH/corner OF'er who is basically a mistake fastball hitter at this point in his career who will be coming off the bench. Coming off the bench?
  4. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 07:51 PM) Why would BA be consider and OH/DH type? My brother heard the Sox are talking to the Marlins, who are interested in Brian Anderson
  5. They're referring to Brian Anderson
  6. I can't believe the A's gave up Harden. If Harden and Soriano stay healthy, this is your NL Winner.
  7. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 06:21 PM) RICKIE.WEEKS.IS.A.DUMBASS. What happened on that double play?
  8. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 06:12 PM) Is there anyone listening to score that can confirm that Rogers is saying it's Joel Hanrahan now? That would make more sense. He's a big power pitcher with some good stuff out of the pen.
  9. The only way I see Sox trading for him is if Floyd's going elsewhere.
  10. The Nationals have no reason to trade him, which makes me think we'd have to give up a ton.
  11. I hope the Sox DL Konerko then, as him sitting on the bench is a waste of a roster spot.
  12. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 05:11 PM) We'd have the slowest OF in baseball. Don't we already?
  13. Griffey Jr. will be playing CF for the White Sox, book it.
  14. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 03:15 PM) I'm excited! I don't know why I'm excited, but I'm excited. I love baseball. I agree, I'm excited also.
  15. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 03:59 PM) Danny Richar is not f***ing insignificant! Sure does make that Cunningham trade bad though.
  16. QUOTE (kane0730 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 03:58 PM) Cbs sportsline is reporting its Griffey for Massett & Richar. That's fine with me....Richar obviously fell out of favor with the organization.
  17. The Sox are not trading Dye or Quentin, so no reason to even speculate about that.
  18. If it's for two insignificant minor leaguers, I like the deal. Griffey Jr. is on a 14 game hitting streak.
  19. I think it's a great trade for Pitt, as Hermida's going from a terrible place for lefties to hit to a great place for lefties to hit. Jason Bay is nowhere near the hitter that Manny is, and the Red Sox would have been better off getting Matt Kemp for Manny straight up.
  20. QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 04:56 AM) Loaded for the Tribe, nobody out. and fail to score
  21. QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 03:18 AM) why would the A's want Cabrera? He's going to be an un-restricted FA and the A's are waaay out of the playoff hunt. Doesnt make sense to me unless there is a 3 team deal in the works.... Yeah, possible 3-way deal with Dodgers. Also, don't underestimate OC's value to some teams that value compensation picks.
  22. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 03:10 AM) I'll be surprised if it works for Williams either. I don't think there is any question Cabrera is being shopped, but I don't see them creating a hole at 2b like that. I bet we'd try and get Mark Ellis as well.
  23. Ugh, Jenks and his 93 mph fastball. He needs to be working on his offspeed stuff.
  24. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 03:40 AM) got that one already. Ryan Spilborghs may be good one day also. Wait, Spil is jewish?
