Kinda reminds me of last year against the Angels, as we lost Thome for a while with the oblique injury. The offense picked the team up the first game, and then things went downhill after that. I hope Ozzie manages his ass off.

Just think, in two months, we'll be saying "If it wasn't for Quentin's wrist, Griffey Jr. would have never been the World Series MVP!" Kinda like how we say the same about Owens' groin.

The reason they need to immobilize a small fracture is that the bone is peanut shaped and the blood vessel runs through the narrow protion. It is very conceivable that he threw his bat and tried to catch it while the bat hit the wrist at the base of the thumb. Long-term prognosis is?

It's so weird, as I'm much more concerned about Quentin's long-term health compared to what he would have provided this last month. For some reason, I think we'll be fine on offense as long as we're at the Cell, and that another lefty bat in the lineup will benefit us.
