Rocket single for Thome off of the fence. Tough at bat for Konerko having to avoid the double play here.

QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 01:27 AM) I ve never posted that this team has no heart but it's obvious that something is off,the sox are one the highest scoring teams in baseball and have been shutout for going on 14 innings, something is not kosher...not to mention the series vs the bosox Anyone know the splits between home scoring for the Sox and road scoring?

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 01:22 AM) He's the perfect pinch runner. Is he even fast anymore?

Jerry Owens groin deserves MVP votes for the White Sox this season. What a horrible baseball player.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 12:16 AM) I do NOT however agree with fathom about this team and 2004 - very different teams. Explain (I mean this in a good way to create discussion)

QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 12:16 AM) and pitch who though? If Danks is mentally checked out, then I'd rather use the days off and just use Richard then.

This is the hardest any of our pitchers has been hit this season.
-
9/2 SOX @ Cle 6:05 PM CDT - CSN
Ha, this team just freaking blows right now. It's time to put Danks on 7 or 8 days rest, at least.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 12:06 AM) 2 hits going into the 5th. The offense thinks September spelled backwards is April. I need a baseball historian on this site to tell me which year this reminds them the most of from the last 6 years or so? You know, where the offense tanks the last few months and the Twins just seem to be a tad bit better than the White Sox.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 12:04 AM) All that Carmona has to do, is aim the sinker down the middle. I Are you saying you shouldn't pull the high and away fastball?

QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 12:02 AM) 2-0 bosox...gonna be more... There is zero chance the White Sox catch Boston, as Boston has so many home games left.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Sep 3, 2008 -> 01:00 AM) Reaction play. When he doesnt have to think about his hurt back, he can make the play. The minute he gets a chance to think, ouchie happens. I am convinced he is hurt, hiding it for the payday. It's too bad KW and Ozzie don't have the guts to tell him too bad, he's hurting the team.

That fastball by Danks is a few mph slower than usual. That's disappointing coming off of the extra day of rest.

Terrible showing by our offense so far.
