  1. Will another defensive miscue give the Cubs the win? Loney really should have thrown that ball to 2nd base.
  2. I've never seen Saito this wild. He's one of the better control pitchers in baseball, and he's been way off.
  3. Shows what I know...pretty electric fastballs by Broxton tonight.
  4. Why did the Dodgers pull Lowe? He was cruising, and Broxton's had some bad outings vs the Cubs over the past few years.
  5. I could see Cristian Guzman being an option at 2nd base.
  6. QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 28, 2008 -> 07:12 PM) COME ON BOBBY THIS IS A HUGE OUT. PLEASE! Great freaking win
  7. Just got back from a 2 hour meeting. Looks like I didn't miss much! Come on Jenks!
  8. Orlando Cabrera....please fake an injury or something.
  9. QUOTE (jphat007 @ May 28, 2008 -> 06:08 PM) We've faced really really good starting pitching for the last three series. We haven't gotten to play Texas or KC or any of them yet, but we will. It all evens out, but the last week we've faced some of the best. I believe we get Greinke when we face KC next week, unfortunately.
  10. Did Westbrook rob Wise of a hit, or would the SS have gotten to it?
  11. Every game is groundhog day with this offense.
  12. QUOTE (kwolf68 @ May 28, 2008 -> 04:48 PM) One hit thru 3 innings. Only so much our pitching can do folks. We gotta find a way to score runs without the homer. I don't get why Swisher, who's had better at bats lately from the left side, got today off while PK was in the lineup again.
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 28, 2008 -> 04:41 PM) It's depressing that June is almost here and Thome, Swisher and Konerko are still hovering around .200
  14. QUOTE (JDsDirtySox @ May 28, 2008 -> 04:41 PM) gosh some of our offensive stats are damn Offensive. The last time Konerko had two hits in a game was May 9th. The last time Konerko homered was April 27th. and PK got hurt on the 28th. Yet, we keep playing him instead of putting him on the DL.
  15. QUOTE (NorthSideSox15 @ May 28, 2008 -> 04:32 PM) Yeah great he got a quality start. It was his season low for strikeouts with 2, also first time all season he gave up multiple home runs. He also walked two guys. Not a great line, not terrible either. But keep in mind he was facing the Indians whose offense had been terrible. I wonder how a team with an offense that was clicking would have handled Vazquez. You must have missed the days when the Sox had absolutely no pitching. Javy had nothing on Monday, and still kept us in the game.
  16. If he can't hit a sinker baller, he won't hit anyone.
  17. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 28, 2008 -> 04:19 PM) Seems like White Sox pitching is very suseptible to unraveling and losing it for an inning and then settling down for the remainder of the game. Our pitching has been fine. Only Buehrle hasn't been able to pitch over errors. Did anyone really think the Sox would have 4 of the top 20 or so pitchers in the AL all season? Plain and simple, we have to start scoring more runs in order to be successful.
  18. Time for Ozzie to earn his money and get this team back to playing focused baseball like they have been. I have faith he can do it.
  19. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 28, 2008 -> 05:05 PM) Our offense looks hot. I really hope they get their focus back, and that the stuff in the clubhouse yesterday blows over quickly.
  20. QUOTE (quickman @ May 28, 2008 -> 04:54 PM) just to pile on we need to get younger and faster, not older. Brad eldred most likely will never see a game in the majors he is this years version of crash davis. Now have I mentioned ryan freel to anyone? How long before Cristian Guzman's name is mentioned?
  21. I don't get how OC wouldn't love to play for Ozzie. I'm very critical of Ozzie, but he seems like he would be the ideal player's manager, especially for a veteran like OC. I wonder if OC's impending free agent status caused him to struggle so early on, as he was trying to pull so many first pitches and the end result was a weak grounder to 3rd base. He's been using the whole field a lot more efficiently lately.
  22. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 28, 2008 -> 05:16 AM) OC is just bitter from the '05 ALCS thrashing. He's our Jeff Blauser. Once a Sox killer, always a Sox killer.
