True, but Hahn all but admitted the next transaction is a trade, which likely means they don’t have the money to find a lefty hitting outfielder.

With the Braves paying a lot for Iglesias, I don’t think they’re a good match. I saw someone mention the Rangers yesterday, and they seem like a good fit along with the Dodgers.

The sobering reality is that if Pollock stayed, they would have already been at their budget heading into the offseason.

Funny thing is we’re all upset they don’t have the resources to make a big trade or sign someone significant, but there’s a very good chance we would absolutely hate the player/transaction by the ASB.

Hahn loves having Sheets on the roster, as he can always use him as an example of why they don’t need certain things. I’m sure if he wasn’t a lefty fielder, they’d put him at 2nd base also.

It wouldn’t be both Timmy and Montgomery. Could easily see them trade Hendriks or Giolito in one deal and then Montgomery in another.

One or two of Hendriks, Gio or Timmy are gone, and Montgomery shouldn’t get too comfortable.

Couldn’t disagree more. With the insane contracts these SS are getting, his two years at a modest salary make him extremely attractive to teams.

Less about surplus value in this case and more about getting a dominant closer.

I just had the thought a few minutes ago of “how does Hahn still have a job”. Half of baseball has seemingly just flown past them since the deadline of 2021.

If they trade Hendriks, it better be to help fill holes on the big league squad.
