  1. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:39 AM) 0-2 on Morneau, go up in the zone now, or very slow low. I get nervous when he starts to miss with that hook. Great play by Crede!
  2. Ugh...last time he had a HBP, he blew the save.
  3. QUOTE(PA32R @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:37 AM) So there ya go. Andereson in CF, Jenks on the mound. Soxtalk board would have voted that way. Thanks
  4. Hopefully Ozzie removes Mackowiak and puts Anderson in CF.
  5. Very nice offspeed pitch on the 1-2 pitch. Ozzie shouldn't mess around in the 9th, and just bring in Jenks. QUOTE(BFirebird @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:25 AM) yeah hopefully he brings his C game so we can get 4 hits. This made me laugh...and I don't think it was in a good way.
  6. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:21 AM) Yes, a lot less it seems. Oh man, hits the ump. Which, as you know, I constantly whine about how much damage is done against that pitch. Great game Jon!
  7. We caught a break there. Thornton's coming in to face Punto.
  8. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:19 AM) Garland is making the Twins break their bats and he looks strong ... good sign for down the stretch. I wonder if Cooper is cutting back on their side sessions, this is the time of year he usually does that. I'm very happy that he's throwing less changeups tonight.
  9. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:17 AM) thome had crossed 3rd when the sign changed Well, don't even get me started on Joey Cora.
  10. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:14 AM) Yes, the first base coach needs to holler at the guy rounding first to hold ... or communicate whatever is going on with the play. Luckily it worked out for the Sox. Hawk/DJ are blaming it on Cora putting up the "stay" sign at 3rd base too late. It wouldn't surprise me that Baines isn't communicating very well at 1st base with these guys. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:15 AM) im still not sure. fathom is talking about the article in the trib, but it really sounded like they were talking about something entirely seperate, and then mentioning the article in passing as a source for the verbal spat. maybe im wrong here though. I don't think anything happened. The whole thing has been overblown.
  11. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) Twins announcers saying Sandy and AJ fought yesterday No. There's an article about it up on chicagosports
  12. That's at least the 5th time this year where we actually held the runner at 3rd, but the runner on 1st kept running. There has got to be better communication than that.
  13. No matter who the Twins have in the bullpen, we can never score on them. They could have Jim Parque out there, and he'd mess us up.
  14. Good hustle....don't ever f***ing do it again!
  15. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) dear god pods. PLEASE hurt yourself. Actually I havn't been hoping he gets hurt enough lately, gotta do that more. We're not allowed to root for injuries on here. Keep it to yourself...like many others do.
  16. Uribe.....please bring back the leg kick. What in the hell has happened to our offense?
  17. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:50 AM) We really need to find a way to keep things how they are with their crowd out of it. Would be such a big win today. Then tomorrow just swing away and if we lose.. whatever its santana at home. However it will be much easier to swing away if we have less pressure. Absolutely....tonight's game is HUGE.
  18. Crede has some warning track power these days.
  19. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:35 AM) Yes, agree. He is an extremely hard worker and I believe they should have sat him out more frequently, especially coming off an essentially wasted year last year. I suspect he won't be close to 100% the rest of the year. It's no surprise that when he pulls the ball now, he's ending up rolling over on the ball instead of driving the ball. David DeJesus has a longer homer to RF in the last month than Jim Thome does.
  20. Some poor ABs by our 3-4-5 after the leadoff single. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:32 AM) I actually think thats his fastball. A pitcher who is topping out at 82 just struckout thome/konerko It's been happening all week to our entire team. Just wait until we see an exceptional changeup tomorrow.
  21. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:30 AM) Guessed wrong on that changeup I'd say. Thome just isn't squaring up the good pitches he's been getting to hit. I think his wrist is really bothering him.
  22. QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 12:28 AM) Going after Thome on outside pitches. He's not taking the bait ... good strategy. Until then
