Would have been nice to get some runs that inning, as Halladay was hanging almost every curve he threw. At least we got that pitch count up though. BTW, Pods keeps getting robbed by the 1B.

Thome and Konerko are playing, and Mackowiak is in CF. At least Ozzie learns.....right?

Quickly reviewing our schedule and that of Boston/NY....if the Sox don't play at least .500 baseball over the next two weeks, we're going to find ourselves about 5 games out of the WC race. Boston has a 9 game stretch against the worst teams in the AL coming up, and the Yanks have 7 games against the Orioles, and 3 vs the Sox. Basically, it's now or never for this team to live up to their paper championship predictions.

There was a game this year where Garcia tried to throw inside fastballs. It was against the Yankees, and after 4 batters, he abandoned that approach after 800 feet worth of homers by Jeter and ARod. Garcia doesn't have good enough control to consistently throw his 88 mph fastball in on the hands.
