QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:38 AM) Yes we are. If Williams doesn't, he's certifiablly baseball retarded. McCarthy NEEDS to be in the starting rotation. Even if he ends the season on a role, with respectable role, we're wasting his talent. Someone needs to go. No one will touch that heaping pile of garbage Garland, Buehlre and Count obviously aren't going anywhere, and Vazquez is still signed for several more years. Garcia could and should go. Garland, no matter how bad he does this year, will have more value than Garcia. Who do you think Ozzie would rather keep.....Garcia, or Garland?

This is the first game all season where I felt like the team chemistry was poor. Do these guys know they're playing the Tigers, and not the Rangers still?
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:36 AM) Well you think that his velocity drop is something normal that all pitchers go through. Sure...if he was 39 Here's our best bet to tie it....hit it high and let it fly PK.

How many times has Iguchi K'd looking in the last two weeks?
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:32 AM) I smell offseason surgery for Freddy. He will f*** us this year with his poor arm, and he will f*** us when we try to trade him. We're not going to try and trade him. No chance.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:31 AM) Even solid players aren't available at this point. And if you trade for them, you are going to overpay for just a solid player. Go to the minors, and you'll find better options. I saw Darnell McDonald play CF for Durham, and he'd be an upgrade over what we have right now. I never thought I'd say this, but I'd rather have Pods in CF, with someone else in LF, now.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:28 AM) There is a reason you don't see many players (practically none) traded in early June. Nobody is available. Nobody worth paying for at the very least. We don't need Griffey Jr. or Hunter. We just need someone who's not terrible (at the plate or in the field).
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:28 AM) Because their prospects dont all have long looping swings like our prospects. Every hitter that comes up has a carbon copy swing. Long looping pull homer swing. Sweeney's the best looking hitter I've seen in our minors in a while.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:25 AM) How the f*** can he hit this bad. A f***ing pitcher has a better approach at the plate. Who the f*** is working with this kid to make him better. I see no improvement. He just pulls off every pitch, trying to have a full cut. Shorten the f***ing swing up, and dump it into right. How about a novell idea, short quick stroke. The way his hands come up first in his swing, it's almost impossible for him to hit the ball to left field with authority. That's why he fouls off about 100 pitches a game weakly to the right side.

QUOTE(That funky motion @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:25 AM) Because KW wont admitt he made a mistake. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Just like it took them about one week too long to send down Logan, while Lopez was doing great in the minors. I absolutely love KW for what he did last year.....but Anderson isn't ready for the majors, and a change needs to be made NOW.
-
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:24 AM) it's gotten to the point where I feel bad for Brian. I feel bad for us having to watch one of the most clueless batters I've seen in years.
-
How's he in the majors?
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:21 AM) Just really bad right now. Just really bad. Ozzie talks a big game....it's time for him to do something about this terrible execution.
-
Swinging away on 3-0 against a pitcher you're 2-22 against? THAT'S f***ING STUPID.
-
Haha....we're so f***ing bad right now.
-
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:17 AM) A lot of teams would trade for a starter. I say trade Freddy while he still may have value and bump BMAC into the rotation. There's going to be better options on the market than Garcia.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:16 AM) By the way, Ozzie, get Bmac up. Balta....you know better than that. Garcia's on the mound...he's going 6, no matter what. How can he get the win if he's not on the mound?
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:16 AM) There ya go. Anderson could be hitting .300 right now, and the way our starters are pitching, we'd still be on this losing skid. But that's the thing...we're not going to do anything to change our pitching. We have way too much money invested in them. Thus, we're going to have to upgrade at other positions, and a better bottom of the order can help with that.
-
How does Garcia ever get anyone out?
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) If we only had a pitching staff with more than 2 guys under 4 in ERA. Here's the way I look at it....if our starting pitchers continue to underachieve, we don't have a chance in hell at making the playoffs.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:13 AM) I want an MRI on Freddys shoulder to prove he is healthy. Last year 92-93, this year if he breaks 90 its a godsend. Freddy the control junkball pitcher, who has no control. I think he's trying his hardest tonight, and everything is 89 tops.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:12 AM) Freddy and his meatballs in the high 80s is the same meatballs that we have seen all year long. He has to be the only guy to lose 5 mph on this fastball, and no one at all makes a comment in the press about it. And have Ozzie threaten you? I think DJ is another home run away from going off on Garcia's approach again.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:10 AM) f***ING FREDDY. WORTHLESS If only he could face the Angels and Cubs every game, he'd be fine.
-
Good pitch by Freddy. He's not going to keep his ERA under 5 once the Cell plays small.
-
The Tigers are crushing Garcia's hanging pitches, and we're fouling off Robertson's meatballs.
