  1. Well...we couldn't be letting Robertson off the hook more if we tried.
  2. Great swing....no result. Watch the heater inside
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) Paul maybe finding his stroke... He's letting it rip at the plate, which is nice to see.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:03 AM) That's the thing that's absolutely driving me nuts with this kid, he doesn't look nearly as bad at the plate IMO as his numbers show. There's no amazing mechanical flaw like there is with Uribe, he's not overstriding, he's taking pitches/taking walks, he looks like he should just need to be taught how pitchers are going to deal with him, but it seems like nothing has changed at all with him this year. I think he's worse now than he was earlier in the year. He's way too stiff at the plate. He stands straight up....a little knee bend would do him good.
  5. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:01 AM) GOoch bunted? Nope, he tried to protect Pods on the steal, even though he had a huge jump. I'm not blaming Ozzie for that decision at all....it's just disturbing to keep avoiding the big inning by playing small ball.
  6. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:00 AM) Are you Corey Patterson's wife? Gail Fischer?
  7. I don't care how good Robertson's been this year. He's struggling with his control tonight, and has been wild in the zone also. We've given up the first out in each inning, and Anderson fouled off some very hittable pitches.
  8. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:56 AM) It's so depressing watching BA, because he's such an easy guy to root for, and you want him to do so well, but he is just so awful. I can't remember anybody being such an automatic out. No offense jphat....but when this poster is saying a player is this bad, you know he sucks.
  9. QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:55 AM) You don't think the poor bullpen and to a lesser extent rotation isn't the biggest difference from last year? Nope, I honestly think those issues would be lessened if we could get any sort of production from the bottom of the order. Our offense has been very good, but with a better 8-9, we'd score enough where even our pitching could hold them.
  10. Our bottom of the order = biggest difference from last year. It's a rally killer.
  11. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) Yes, its Ozzie fault he cant bunt the man to third... With AJ's speed, you have to know it's going to take a perfect bunt to get him over. Why would we be bunting with Anderson up next anyways? Is one more run really going to win this game? But yes, it's still Cintron's duty to get the job done.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:51 AM) I'm really starting to dislike Cintron's at bats. He's a mental midget.
  13. TERRIBLE! Another stupid small ball decision by Ozzie.
  14. Cintron's going to be bunting here. With AJP's speed at 2nd, I'll be pleasantly surprised if it's successful.
  15. There's one. The ball is FLYING out of the Cell tonight.
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:43 AM) Interestingly, same number of strikeouts as home runs. Enough about Garland's stats this year.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:40 AM) We need to find some way to make it through June without falling too far behind. Well said...I couldn't agree more.
  18. How dare the Tigers, with their good middle of the order, get production from the bottom of the order!!!
  19. We're just not a good team right now.
  20. f***ing Garcia. This is as bad as he's looked all year.
  21. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:34 AM) THames is hitting .313. What the hell is that. He's the only outfielder in baseball with an OPS higher than Dye in the AL.
  22. Jeez....Garcia is so f***ing brutal. If he keeps rolling these curves to the plate, they're going to light him up. It's so much easier to react to a slow pitch when you don't have to worry about the fastball getting past you.
  23. I swear, the only person worse at judging a fly ball than Pablo Ozuna is Hawk.
  24. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 12:29 AM) Even without Hawk sounding like an idiot, I thought that ball was gone. At least it was a much better swing from Konerko than we've seen for the last week.
