QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) I know! How the f*** can a guy make 16 outs with RISP. f***ing Konerko. I really hope that wasn't directed towards me. I know Dye's been amazing with RISP, and just wanted to confirm he was referring to Konerko. If there's anyone who deserves slack with Sox fans, it's PK. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:50 AM) I would be thrilled if BA could hit .250 by the end of the year. That's not too likely anymore, though. I'd be satisfied now if he ended up hitting .225 and got hot in time for the playoffs. My prediction is that we'll have a new center fielder by the end of June.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:44 AM) Cmon SnB, it's not like he has 22 hits in 38 ABs with RISP or anything.....oh, wait. Is that what Konerko is with RISP?
-
How many fastballs down the cock can you foul off PK? Terrible
-
Man....Anderson breaks a lot of bats. That's a very telling sign that he's not getting his hands through and letting the bat follow.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 31, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) Safe to say that Mark doesn't matchup so well with the Indians most of the time, though there have been some really great starts mixed in there. This Indians lineup seems like it should crush most lefties they face.
-
Ozzie needs to stop bunting in front of the big boppers. No reason to try and play for one run with those guys coming up. Having Anderson bunt is one thing....but Iguchi shouldn't be bunting in the 3rd.
-
According to yahoo, the first five balls put in play that inning were hit to a deep part of the park. That's pretty scary.
-
Looks like I should leave. For those with power out, what happened with the PK play?
-
Just got back after a nice wknd vacation.....I'm quite satisfied with the games that I was away for. Anyways, Buehrle needs to keep the Indians down here....and we need better defensive play from our corner outfielders.

QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:41 AM) My main problem with it is the time it would take for him to readjust. Now that he's had plenty of reps in left he reads the ball off the bat fairly well. I don't see him having a problem with center. Except he would take bad routes for too many games. Just say no to Pods in CF. The Sox organization would never even consider it, so it's pointless in arguing about it.
-
Politte's done with. Thanks for 2005 Cliffy.
-
For everyone clamoring for Sweeney or Fields to come up.....why in the world would you think that we're going to call up a prospect and they're going to contribute offensively? I wouldn't say our organization is known for developing their prospects into major league-ready hitters.
-
QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:35 AM) If Anderson continues to struggle and Fields makes the adjustment to playing in left in Charlotte, we'll see Fields in left and Pods in center before the year is out. And I guarantee you that we wouldn't make the playoffs. That defense would be embarrassingly bad. If Anderson and Mackowiak can't get it done, KW needs to make a move.

QUOTE(greg775 @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:31 AM) We wouldn't be so pissed of late if Detroit wasn't playing like the Babe Ruth-led Yankees. Who's pissed? We just swept our biggest nemesis. I think we match up as poorly against these Blue Jays hitters as we do against any other team. They have a lot of guys who just kick our pitcher's ass historically.

Boston has had Wells and Tavarez pitch so far tonight....who's in the pen, J. Rocker?
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:28 AM) DJ saying the Cliff is throwing the ball well proves that they must pass out drugs before the broadcast happens. This has been a legendary game, in regards to the announcing.
-
QUOTE(Sox It To Em @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:26 AM) Last year was a fluke for Cliff. Yep....and I'll gladly accept it. Just as how if Garland had his career year last season....I'm sure happy it was in 2005.
-
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:26 AM) That was Iguchi's play to make. WTF. He's awful on pop ups over the first baseman's head. When he doesn't flat out drop them, he just doesn't take control. He's a little bit better on that play than he was last year....but he still has a long way to go.
-
QUOTE(greg775 @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:24 AM) Detroit is playing like the Tribe did last Sept. They believe they can win every game they play. I'm amazed at their confidence level, in the games I've watched of theirs this season.
-
Kenny Williams....there are some GLARING holes on this team.
-
I mean this respectfully, but thankfully we didn't give Politte something dumb like a 3 yr extension after last season.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:19 AM) Way to many sliders. His fastball is looking good and he's located it so far, throw it more Cliff. Don't you talk to Clifford Vizcaino like that.
-
QUOTE(daa84 @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:19 AM) his location has been there so far in this ab How hard is it to throw a slider off the plate?
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 27, 2006 -> 01:17 AM) This is why we shouldnt of had extended spring training with the boone logan experiment for so long. Dropping games that we could of won to teams we should of beat is why we won last year. Our formula last year was to beat up on the teams we were supposed to beat, and play 500 or a bit better against the better teams. This year we have lost a few games that we should of won due to open tryouts. I'm as pissed as anyone that Logan was even given the spot to pitch in the majors. However, there's going to be a lot more games where if we don't make it to the playoffs, you can point at that particular game for our destination. I still want to know how many more games we're going to lose this year because Ozuna f***s up in LF.

You want to get drunk fast.....starting taking shots after every slider outside by Politte.
