  1. Ugh! Swing away against a non-strikeout pitcher. At least Ozuna came through though.
  2. Someone better check Ozuna for roids. Two of his longest hits since he's been on the Sox.
  3. QUOTE(JimH @ May 7, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) No wait, some people here will have a problem with everything. You know my biggest problem is that I don't understand Gload's place on the roster. As we've talked about a lot, I'd much rather see a righty outfielder on the bench.
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ May 7, 2006 -> 07:19 PM) I think you've made your views known. That's the 3rd comment you've made about that in this thread alone. And I'll keep making posts about it as we continue to lose games due to this "strategy".
  5. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 7, 2006 -> 07:16 PM) Unacceptable. Isn't it amazing what our record is when we have 8 or 9 of our core starters in the game, and how bad it is when we have 2 or 3 starters out of the game?
  6. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 7, 2006 -> 07:15 PM) Wow, back-to-back meatballs. 2-0 Royals. I pray this is the last time Widger catches for Buehrle. I don't care if it's Randy Johnson on the mound....these two don't have a good rhythm together.
  7. That's our ace on the mound. Great pitch selections to Grudz and Graffy today.
  8. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ May 7, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) borchard is hitting 318 this year. BRING HIM BACK Some of us always said that he'd fit a need better than Gload does.
  9. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ May 7, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) who is going to start the first corpseball thread? How about we stop playing 3 benchers once every three games?
  10. Outside of one game, Mackowiak has been brutal.
  11. So Justin Huber's able to steal against Buehrle, but we can't steal against anyone?
  12. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 7, 2006 -> 06:53 PM) He's really not having any better of a game than he did VS Cleveland, he's just facing an ultra pathetic offense in KC. Yep, but as long as he keeps them scoreless, we can't complain.
  13. It took Hawk/DJ until the 4th inning to mention Cy Young is facing us.
  14. If we do end up putting Dye on the DL, I think it's very important we add a righty outfielder to the roster. As everyone knows, I'm not a fan of having to play a lefty in rightfield against a LHP.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 7, 2006 -> 06:48 PM) This is pretty brutal. Everyone's trying to pull the baseball. Anderson works his way to a 3-2 pitch, and swings at a blatant ball.
  16. Time for Buehle to get out of another jam. Everything continues to stay up in the zone.
  17. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ May 7, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) Widge flies out, lets go out and retire the side Mark. "flies out" is quite generous for that 80 foot smash. Some very long swings against this pitcher so far.
  18. Wow....ugly swing by Mackowiak.
  19. Buehrle definitely doesn't have his good fastball so far.
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 7, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) Widger has caught for: 1. Garland - L 2. Vazquez - L 3. Garland - W 4. Buehrle - L 5. Garland - ND 6. Buehrle - L So the team is 2-4 when he starts, and 19-5 when AJP starts?
  21. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 7, 2006 -> 06:12 PM) Im curious why Widger has been catching for Buehrle? Is Buehrle in Ozzie's doghouse? I'm really, really confused. Lefties on the mound, as well as day games after a night game.
  22. Berroa's actually a pretty big batter in this game already.
