  1. Pablo trying to give us a heart attack. Not a good defensive outfield we currently have.
  2. You just have to love our chances against the A's in extra innings :rolly Tough inning here for Jenks....three guys with a ton of power coming to the plate. Eddings....stop going out of your way to show you're not a Sox fan.
  3. What a terrible f***ing call. That's pathetic.
  4. Chased ball four. Thome's swinging for the concourse.
  5. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ May 23, 2006 -> 02:49 AM) *Knock on wood* Do we have any walkoffs this year? I dont think so... Nope
  6. I think Street is a great pitcher for Thome.
  7. Great throw by AJP. At least we know that our hitters this inning are going to try and get a single.....NOT!
  8. I got to listen to the game on the radio in the 8th. It was quite exciting to hear. I can just imagine the "stretch" calls by Hawk.
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:55 AM) Has Uribe drawn a walk in the last fortnight? The numbers he's had, outside of the Twins 2 homer game, are jaw-dropping. Someone posted them in the Uribe thread yesterday.
  10. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:54 AM) Man, Garland and Uribe for Tejada would have been sweet. Yeah, but they wanted Contreras or McCarthy.
  11. At this point....I'm just thankful Uribe made some great defensive plays to help us win the World Series.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:51 AM) Uribe up. Here's the bet...will he do anything other than strikeout? He's always a threat to pop up to the right side. That used to be the Graffanino special.
  13. This is a battle of the two worst 8-9's in all of baseball. Most of the members of soxtalk had a higher blood-alcohol content last wknd than the batting average of these players. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:46 AM) ROFL, Wellemeyer just relieved Pinto. It's quite obvious that Girardi is sticking it to the Cubs. That's f***ing awesome! That almost makes my night.
  14. I'm with you...the second Frank said the s*** about how he wouldn't have thrown out the first pitch of the ALDS...I lost all respect for him. It's ok to be pissed off at KW or the organization.....but whining like a b**** about something that pumped up the fans and your teammates is pathetic.
  15. In case people care, the Marlins have used Nolasco and Pinto vs the Cubs so far. If Wellemeyer is still on the active roster, it would be cool if he came in for the 9th.
  16. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:38 AM) Like I said, the trade made sense to make. I like Vazquez. I just hope that Anderson isn't a bust and that Chris Young turns into some stud center fielder. And the trade made a lot of sense to me....until we re-signed both Garland and Contreras. Trust me, I'm very encouraged with Vazquez this year, especially his HR/9 innings. However, he's notorious for his blow-ups, and we've seen that twice already.
  17. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:33 AM) He sure looked like s*** against the Indians. Your trolling act is beyond stale. Yep....I'm sure a troll. He pitched very well against the Indians. I'm more concerned that he's blown some big leads against the Blue Jays and Twins. I actually do like Vazquez....I'm just concerned, like jabroni said, that we gave up a future star in CF, and kept the guy with a low ceiling.
  18. Garland....13 homers in 56 innings. He had 26 in 221 innings last season. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:30 AM) Seriously. It's rather frustrating that the mods continue to let it go on and on. Well, kudos to not repsonding to it.
  19. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:29 AM) 2006 Garland vs. any team = Not good. And there's the bait.....
  20. Well....congrats Garland on letting Frank embarrass us. The good news is that Kenny Williams is going to be extremely pissed off.
  21. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:26 AM) Agreed. And I really hope that Chris Young doesn't turn into a stud CF'er. Vazquez is going to be great....if he can face Kansas City 20 times a season. Has anyone calculated what our record is with AJP catching vs Widger this season?
  22. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:25 AM) No reason for Cintron not to be starting at this point, IMO. If Brian Anderson did what Uribe did yesterday, he'd be on the bench for 3 games.
  23. You know what....Uribe's throw in the 8th inning yesterday was closest he's come to clearing the wall in a long time.
  24. QUOTE(Heads22 @ May 23, 2006 -> 01:22 AM) Everyone in the Tiger lineup with a hit tonite. That's impossible! I thought teams aren't allowed to have guys hit from 1 to 9 in the order.
