  1. Iguchi needs to get a bloop hit sometime soon to get him going.
  2. I have no clue why the Astros weren't holding on AJP. It's not like he would score on a double down the line anyways.
  3. Pods is clutch? f*** yeah, great job Scotty!
  4. You have to love how Fox goes nuts over a very close play like Pods stealing vs the Angels, but McCarver shrugs it off on a blatant balk by Springer.
  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 02:59 AM) THat was the best thing I seen in my life, O' my god. Even though it was a sinking feeling knowing that a flare would give them the lead after the SB, that was a great little stretch. Hawk might have lost it if he was announcing.
  6. If that wasn't Ricky Vaughn in MLB, I don't know what is!
  7. Since I'm saying something negative, this defeats the jinx. This is a similar situation to that game where Jenks gave up the hit to Boone, and the Sox lost by one. Hopefully he learned from that game, and won't put the fastball down in the zone.
  8. GREAT f***ING JOB BY COTTS! Jenks in to face Bagwell. I hope Dye is playing shallow in RF, as a lot of hits I've seen Bagwell get since he came back have been flares to RF.
  9. Wow, you should never speed up Berkman's bat like that from the right side. A fastball up in the zone could have got him.
  10. The chances of a walk to Berkman are rather high. He has a great eye, and Cotts might be up in the zone.
  11. I'll give Ozzie the benefit of the doubt for tonight, but for the rest of the series, when our starting pitcher looks like s*** after the 6th inning, please pull him prior to the start of the next inning.
  12. Ozzie is going to catch a lot of heat for leaving Contreras in. He didn't have much the last few innings, and we're lucky that wasn't a homer.
  13. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 02:38 AM) Why does every game have to be a heart attack? Why can't we have insurance runs? :banghead We did a better job getting insurance runs vs the Angels than we had all season.
  14. Everett couldn't have asked for a better pitch to hit than that first pitch of the AB.
  15. Did anyone else hear the entire city of Chicago yell "What the f***?" when they showed Marte warming up?
  16. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 02:27 AM) I doubt you'll see Cotts in this game unless we lose the lead. I don't want Contreras to face Berkman again this game. Berkman's much more dangerous lefty.
  17. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 02:24 AM) If anyone didnt know who Joe Crede was, well, you do. I find it quite funny that so many people wanted AJ Burnett on the Sox. Now, Crede resembles Burnett so much, in terms of facial look (I tried to avoid using facial, sorry).
  18. I'd let Contreras face Tavares, and then bring in Cotts to face Berkman.
  19. Contreras got away with a meatball to Everett. Politte should be in this game.
  20. The bullpen needs to get warmed up right now. This is the World Series. I don't care how many pitches he's thrown, you need someone ready.
  21. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 02:19 AM) qwerty, I think you stick with Iguchi. He shoudl come around. I would have watned to pull the plug on JD where he was but he came up big. I think Iguchi will snap out of it soon. If he absolutely sucks again tomorrow, I'd consider playing Harris vs Oswalt.
  22. QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 02:16 AM) I dont like it when people b**** about how bad the offense is doing while we are winning. If we are losing, its a different story, but we are winning, so get over it. When you have a golden opportunity like the Sox did in the 5th to get some breathing room, you need to cash in on it. It's a one run game, and one swing of the bat obviously can tie it or put the Astros in front. If the Sox were to lose this game, pundits will definitely talk about the Sox poor ABs with RISP.
  23. Iguchi's not even f***ing close to getting a hit. He's flying open so fast, and every swing is way off.
