  1. Rowand was playing way, way too deep for Bagwell in that situation. He has no power anymore, and you don't need to try and take away the double.
  2. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 03:07 AM) This post season will always and forever be known for poor umpiring. Those questionable calls will be a slight cloud for a while but eventually the awesome baseball that this team is playing will come out on top. Since there's absolutely nothing, we as fans, can do about it, we just have to sit back and enjoy the moment.
  3. I wonder if Garner will ph Palmeiro for Bagwell. I don't think we ever got him out when he played for the Angels.
  4. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 03:03 AM) It was a ball anyway, so that still does not lead to PK's Grand Slam. Get Konerko out and there is no issue. Well, as you know, it wouldn't have been a ball due to the foul strike.
  5. I'll admit, I kinda felt sick to my stomach after the Angels Game 2 win. If the Sox hold on to win this game, I won't feel bad about it at all.
  6. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:58 AM) THats how we see. And I absolutely love it. But if that happened to us, I really couldn't imagine how upset and pissed I would be. I just can't fathom it. I would have broken something a few times over. Bad calls on fouls/hbp happen ALL the time.
  7. Here's the thing....the Angels controversial call was much worse than this one was tonight. The Astros should blame Wheeler for throwing an awful 3-2 count high and well inside.
  8. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:56 AM) Plus controversy = ratings. Get used to it. ^^^^^
  9. Maybe, just maybe, Buck and Fox should concentrate on why in the hell would Qualls throw a first pitch, inner-half fastball to PK with the bases loaded?
  10. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:49 AM) yeah i would agree w/ you there. He will probably get 5 yrs/65 mil now for sure At least he's f***ing earning it!
  11. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:46 AM) That was the greatest homerun I've ever seen in my life. It just surpassed the Carlos Lee walk-off slam against the Cubs and the Crede homer this season as my favorite homer in Sox history.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:42 AM) No pop ups PK! Put a good swing on the ball, and worry more about tying the game instead of putting the Sox up 2. That will do!
  13. No pop ups PK! Put a good swing on the ball, and worry more about tying the game instead of putting the Sox up 2.
  14. I'm not going to be happy if Pods K's looking.
  15. QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:27 AM) That's ridiculous. Berkman would have never been in the box without a abulls*** infield hit. Bulls*** infield hit? That guy led all of baseball in infield hits. He has a great ability to get out of the box on his swing.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:25 AM) i got your back no matter what. i dont know you. but you are a whitesox fan. that is all i need to know. Haha, that's the same attitude I have. Even though I argue with some people on this board, I'd still be glad to root on the Sox with them.
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:25 AM) I'm still looking for you and SSH yelling at AJ for swinging at the first pitch in the second inning. funny enough I can't find him. ANd nowhere did I ever say Pods was a better player than Sizemore. As we have said numerous times, he is a better leadoff hitter, which he is. You can search every thread on it and you won't find it. I'm not mad at AJP for swinging at the first pitch. I know that's the type of hitter he is, so you take the good with the bad.
  18. QUOTE(greg775 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:23 AM) We are not playing great baseball in the rain. Can we win the Series against these mfockers? These Stros are pesky. As I said earlier, they have a much better approach at the plate than the Angels did. Berkman has burned us twice so far with an open base. I have a feeling Ozzie will pitch around him from now on.
  19. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:22 AM) Heh, I don't think that Scott Podsednik is better than Grady Sizemore. Worry about your own supposed baseball knowledge. I will worry about mine. Jphat....you, me, SSH, and many others on this site have different viewpoints. I don't think it's right to start telling people they have no clue when it comes to baseball.
  20. What are the Sox with RISP tonight? Only Crede has a hit, that I know.
  21. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:20 AM) Viz getting loose? Is something wrong w/ Politte? Where do I start?
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:17 AM) come on man be disappointed but dont call out our guys anymore. we are supposed to be a freakin wave of whitesox masculinity that disrupts the meaning of family. Coming from the same person who blamed the fans for the Sox losing game 1 to the Angels?
