  1. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:43 AM) His left foot was right by it I disagree. There was a lot of dirt between the base and his feet.
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:43 AM) Poor effort? That call is always given. poor effort? Just stupid. Effort had nothing to do with that. HE WASN'T EVEN CLOSE TO THE BASE! He didn't even make the typical effort of bringing your foot back after you catch it. Personally, I'm happy they called that.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:42 AM) I have no problem with it. I would have been a lot more pissed if he was actually anywhere close to the base.
  4. Pretty poor effort by Iguchi. Good thing he got the guy out at first.
  5. Haha, there's a make-up call. Ozzie should just sit in the dugout. That call was right.
  6. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:39 AM) Whether they bring anyone in or not, I just hope they totally shut them down and keep them demoralized. Scoring a few runs the last couple innings may put their minds in a better place tomorrow. Kick em while they're down. We just need to win the game. I understand what you're saying, but I have a feeling the Angels will play with a huge chip on their shoulder tomorrow no matter what happens these last 2 innings.
  7. Why are we worried about getting Marte and Viz work? It's just as important to have Cotts and Jenks get into this game.
  8. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:36 AM) Should have pinch run with Ozuna. I can't tell if you're serious or not.
  9. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:35 AM) Probably not. EDIT: I'm on my game today. Me too. I completely gave up all hope that USC was going to convert the late 4th down against ND today.
  10. CREDE!! Way to stay with the splitter, and prove me wrong.
  11. We're not scoring, are we?
  12. Is there any reason not to have someone run for Everett?
  13. Wow, that was ugly!
  14. We need AJP to get the runner in, and not put Crede in a tougher situation. This is deja-vu from last night almost.
  15. Good hit by Rowand. Everett looked like he busted a tire going into 3rd. Ozuna should be in to run for Everett. And yes, I know I wasn't the only one praying for Cora to hold up Everett.
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:20 AM) I think we're complaining more about the eventual complaining that will start after the game. That's why we just have to win this f'n game, and worry about that stuff tomorrow.
  17. Why are we complaining about the calls so much? They missed some of them, but that happens a lot in baseball. Umps very rarely call a guy out in that Pods situation from this inning. We just have to make sure we capitalize on these breaks, and win this f***ing game.
  18. Umpires never call the guy out if he beats the ball by so much.
  19. Well done Pods.
  20. Iguchi's been having a real trouble with 2 strikes recently. He's been very good this postseason though, so I'm not going to get too upset with him.
  21. That looked like a strike. Lets get creative, and try a hit-and-run here.
  22. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:04 AM) If we maintain the lead I'd like to see Marte come on in relief. Road game, close but not too close. I would imagine he'd have a short leash too. I respectfully disagree. The best chance the Angels have of coming back in this game is with a couple of walks leading up to an extra base hit. I'd rather go with the guys who we can trust won't have as good of a chance as walking the first two batters as they would getting the first two guys out.
  23. Whew, that was huge! Good reflexes by Crede.
  24. Ugh! That top of the inning seemed doomed as soon as AJP swung at the 3-1 pitch over his head. Big inning here for Garcia with 2-3-4.
  25. 6-2=4. Thanks for playing McCarver.
