  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:16 AM) Problem is the Sox don't have anyone that can hit 8th. Pick your poison all 3 of the candidates suck right now (AJP, Everett, Rowand) and they can't all hit 8th. Why hasn't Dye been given the chance to hit 3rd?
  2. AJP trying to pull the outside changeup. He should be batting 8th, and not 3rd. AJP has been rather disappointing during the stretch run also. I expected more intensity out of him.
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:11 AM) I'm not near ready to fire Ozzie. Not at all. It ain't his fault this offense can't hit. Sure he's done some things bad from the x's and o's stand point but he's done a lot of good in the clubhouse. I actually think he won't be fired, but he'll quit after this season. It definitely seems like a possibility he could go after the Marlins job when it opens. I wouldn't blame him, as the Chicago media is pretty harsh.
  4. Thankfully Contreras has shown he can handle the stretch run pressure.
  5. QUOTE(Y2HH @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:10 AM) Wow. Greg Walker needs to go. Yesterday. This isn't Walker's fault now. This is a choke job in front of our very eyes.
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) All I know is this, if I were a GM, I'd think long and hard about hiring DJ as a manager. I've long thought he'd be an exceptional candidate. I know a lot of you hate him, but the guy knew how to play the game (he wasn't great) and he's always talking about the suttle things he was taught that the Sox aren't doing. The next manager should have no connections to the Sox organization. This hasn't been a successful franchise, and fresh blood is definitely needed.
  7. We're going to lose this game, and we flat out deserve to.
  8. Iguchi is another person who looks absolutely worn out. He can't hit a ball deep to save his life, and his bat speed is also non-existant.
  9. What a f***ing disgrace.
  10. There's our great run producer. What a f***ing awful AB.
  11. I won't be happy if Pods K's looking.
  12. Pods swinging for the downs on his bunt attempt.
  13. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:03 AM) 5-1 toronto 1-0 balty that s*** holds and we win, we clinch the wildcard and all the pressure is off., cmon boyz Safe to say there's a long way to go in those games.
  14. PH Blum for Pods?
  15. It wasn't pretty, but I'll take it! GET THE RUNNER IN PODS! You just have to know if we try a squeeze here, it won't work.
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) Shocker...Rowand grounds out to CF. I wouldn't mind going crazy and giving Rowand a day off with Anderson or Borch in CF and Everett a day off with Gload or Borch DH'ing. I couldn't agree more, but do you think Ozzie would really do that?
  17. Rowand looks like he's flat out gassed now.
  18. 6-3....quite predictable.
  19. Rowand is having a hell of a time trying to get the hands out in order to hit.
  20. Rowand's best chance of reaching is via HBP.
  21. 5-1 Toronto!!!
  22. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) Great inning Jose!!! Yes it was. We just have to keep getting runners on base, and the runs will follow.
  23. Bitter Hawk has returned.
  24. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) We gotta get the lead before the 5th. Is the rain coming?
  25. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) Notice DJ. He's not making any excuses about the Sox offense, especially as of late. He's flat out blaming the Sox offense for a lack of execution. The announcers have been great in the last week for the most part. Friday night was the best announcing night I can ever remember for the Sox.
