  1. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:28 AM) if we can't score two runs off Elarton, we don't deserve to win. One more inning, and he's going to be known as Cy Elarton.
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:26 AM) That's on Jon. WTF is he doing. He would have been safe anyways. Garland was slow getting there, but Sizemore would have scored anyways.
  3. For as much energy as we played with the first two games, we're that flat tonight.
  4. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:25 AM) But you havent blamed Ozzie yet! You even said he made a good call! I guess that will change by the time the bullpen is used. Here's my one complaint I have about Ozzie: he seems to have a hard time just subbing one player into the lineup. Rather, he feels like it has to be 2 or 3 at a time. He's on the record saying he's going with this lineup every game for the rest of the season. That's fine you want to go with your core, but is it so bad to maybe rest Everett for a night?
  5. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:24 AM) Dye is a horrible outfielder. He is not even mediocore. Considering that our LF and RF have had very disappointing defensive seasons, it does get funny hearing Hawk continue to praise their defense this year.
  6. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:23 AM) PK's brain fart is looming large. He wouldn't have come close to scoring on Rowand's line out.
  7. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:22 AM) You seem to be pretty positive today, did you drink an extra one before tonights game? Not anymore.....another poor play by our outfield defense.
  8. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:20 AM) Now thats definetly not green. You do it because Uribe has been hot, and a single would move Rowand to third with 0 outs. Yeah, we can't just keep standing around trying to get 3 hits in an inning. It was the proper call by Ozzie, and just didn't work out.
  9. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) I hate bad freaking luck. It will even out over the course of the game if you keep hitting the ball hard.
  10. Good eye by Rowand. Lets create some offense!
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:14 AM) Are you trying to say that the Sox shouldn't be hitting Elarton better tonight? He's left some great pitches to hit up in the zone. It's too bad Dye didn't hit a 3 run homer on that hanger he fouled off. BTW, just cause I think we should be hitting him better, it doesn't mean that necessarily results in runs. A lot of the Sox hitters are getting underneath the high fastball, which is equating into the fly ball outs. Elarton seems to have a long release from the stretch, so we need to get Pods on base.
  12. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:12 AM) Ah, sorry. didn't account for your mlb acumen and experience. Are you trying to say that the Sox shouldn't be hitting Elarton better tonight? He's left some great pitches to hit up in the zone. It's too bad Dye didn't hit a 3 run homer on that hanger he fouled off.
  13. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:08 AM) I dunno. He's had a decent change, decent fastball and a real good curve. Not top starter stuff, but not mediocre either. I've seen enough average fastballs up in the zone that the Sox should have a few runs by now.
  14. Randy Johnson seems to be pretty locked in now.
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:06 AM) Dammit I wish our players would let that him them. Haha. I thought the same thing.
  16. How are we not getting to Elarton? He doesn't have much on his pitches at all! This is not the game for the offense to go to sleep.
  17. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 12:59 AM) Joe Borchard or Ross Gload > Carl Everett WHERE WOULD HE PLAY never gets old, does it?
  18. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 12:57 AM) He's had 6 rough ABs. It's not like he's slumping. I never said he's slumping. Rather, he just looks like he's in-between at the plate.
  19. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) Was Blake's a good hit or a US Cell warm night job? Warm night, but still might have been out at most parks. He has a ton of power to the opposite field.
  20. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 12:44 AM) It's Ozzie's fault Jon walked him. We get the point
  21. And we trail. We have GOT to start executing when we get men on base.
