  1. Crede might want to see a doctor for that whiplash he might have suffered on that swing.
  2. QUOTE(BamaDoc @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:54 AM) Duque at 96 pitches but in a groove would you pull him now? I will go on record as yes, though I don't think Ozzie will. Cotts should definitely be in.
  3. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:53 AM) I for one hope at the end of this season you see PK sign on with someone else....I can hardly stand to watch him anymore...its great he hits some homers but he doesn't do much more than that..IMO I think KW's activity at the trade deadline trying to acquire someone like Huff pretty much guaranteed that PK isn't in our plans next season.
  4. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:53 AM) Aaron nice enough to hit that ball before it killed a worm. 1 extra base hit in his last 10 games.
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:51 AM) If nothing else, we've gotten to their bullpen after 5 innings. I'd rather face the starter than the guys in the Blue Jays bullpen. Dye just had a great pitch to hit before, and popped up.
  6. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:48 AM) He pissed me off in the 1st, but kudos for Orlando for shutting em out for the next 5 innings. Definitely. We should be winning this game. The Jays have one guy LOB the entire game.
  7. Good job by Duque not allowing a run that inning, and shoving it in my face. Walker's been a pretty damn good reliever this season.
  8. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:48 AM) Pk is hitting a robust .000 w/ runners on 3rd at home this year. Mercy. Good job finding that stat.
  9. I'd like to see Cotts in to face Koskie now. Last few batters have hit Duque hard, and Koskie's bat speed is perfect for Duque.
  10. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:41 AM) Just like your prediction of the Jays scoring double digits tonight. Wrong! I said one of the teams would. This game's not close to being over.
  11. Will someone please f***ing tell Hawk it was a 0-1 count on Shea? In Hawk's words: that's BS!
  12. Another example of a pitcher not shutting down the other team after we score here?
  13. QUOTE(Sox2005 @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:38 AM) I didnt say change your view on a player...i said give him a break. seems like u just focus on the negative aspects and forget what he has done to help the sox this season This could be a long thread in itself.
  14. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:37 AM) No, one homer doesn't change my view on a player. That was a big hit but I don't change on a whim like that. Yep, I'm the same way. Sure, I'm just as happy as anyone else that when a player comes through. However, doesn't mean I'm going to automatically think they're the greatest player since Timo Perez!
  15. Big inning for Duque coming up with 3 righties up. Cotts should be warming up if/when he gets into trouble, and Koskie is up.
  16. PK!!!! I didn't think that was a homer off the bat at all. Just a short, quick swing without trying to pull the ball. SSI must be happy.
  17. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:32 AM) Tadahito with a nice base hit. He's such a good hitter when he's not taking pitches for Pods or trying to move the runner over.
  18. 2 for last 21. Personally, I like it when Pods tries to hit the ball hard instead of just trying to serve it into the outfield.
  19. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:25 AM) Inning over. f***ing AWFUL! 2 leadoff doubles - 0 runs. Thats bulls*** Where's Rowand44 to tell you it's not our hitters fault....but that Bush is throwing a great game?
  20. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:24 AM) Can we get a runner in please. I mean we cant hit for average, so when we do get a guy in scoring position it would be nice to get a single here and there. We dont need to park one. When the sox come home and there are good crowds its 2000 corpseball offense. Everyone wants to score 5 runs on every swing. Popups, ground outs, and Ks with men in scoring position oh my. But we have the best record in baseball.
  21. BTW, Hawk is totally making an ass out of himself tonight. Hillenbrand had that hbp/foul on a 0-1 pitch. If anything, it would have been just strike two. Instead, he's busy b****ing the entire night that it should have been a strikeout.
  22. Wow, this is f***ing pathetic.
  23. Mr. groundball to the left side. What happened to Rowand's swing from last year?
  24. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) Up 15 on Cleveland in the loss column, with 50 some games left. Tough for them to play 16 games better than us in that span. If it gets to 5 games, I'll worry. The only thing that would even make me consider that the Indians could go on a massive run is the fact they play 20 of their last 56 games against Tampa and KC. Thankfully, neither of these teams traded away their big guys. Thus, it won't be like they're playing their AAA teams.
  25. We can't outslug teams at home lately, and it's killing us. It's not like we've been facing a lot of tough pitchers in this stretch at home either.
