  1. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 01:12 AM) one out on a flyout by dye 2 outs
  2. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) here we go again This means we're going to be hearing Hawk b**** for the next 6 innings.
  3. Good for Ozzie to get ejected. If only the rest of the team had his energy tonight.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 01:05 AM) LOL :headshake Gotta laugh when things like that happen. There's no doubt that our infield defense has been so much worse than the level it had been playing at a month ago.
  5. And there's a great defensive play. Maybe I should change my above post to read "infield defense = struggling"
  6. Our defense = struggling
  7. QUOTE(wallyburger @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 01:02 AM) I hate WCIU. I've gotta do the Gamecast thing on ESPN.com. You're not missing much, as you know. It's been pretty frustrating so far. We just had our daily 2b error.
  8. We're going to have to swing the bats. Towers is a control pitcher, and we're playing right into his game plan by taking pitches with 2 strikes.
  9. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) A 15 game lead on Aug 2 = NO STRESS I envy your blood pressure then.
  10. Real quick question in this gamethread: Who are you more worried about now, Indians or Twins? Indians scare me a lot more because of their schedule the rest of the way.
  11. Personally, I don't mind having home games. I'm not exactly looking forward to the road trip next week against NYY and Bos. Those games are always stressful.
  12. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 12:50 AM) Actually, prior to this year Garland has OWNED the Blue Jays The last few times Garland has faced the Blue Jays, he's been burned by throwing weak change-ups. The Blue Jays always have a lot of lefties, and he throws a lot more change-ups to lefties than righties. It's harder for him to throw his good sinker vs lefties.
  13. QUOTE(S720 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 12:42 AM) SoxFan1, why don't you STFU? Whine, whine. whine. I'm tired of you calling Garland Judy. Yep, this gamethread is going to get ugly tonight.
  14. Great, we found another back-up infielder that can only get on via infield hits!
  15. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 12:37 AM) When does the next road trip start? They have had trouble at home the last month and a half. They have trouble pitching at home. Maybe because we play in a homer haven now. I can't believe Russ Adams hit that ball out to the left field.
  16. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 12:36 AM) I see a Jon Adkins appearance in the near future. Garland would have to give up 10 runs before Ozzie pulled him before the 5th inning.
  17. 7 straight hits!
  18. I was waiting for the first Judy comment. No matter how you say it, this has been a terrible inning. He keeps getting burned with his 2nd or 3rd pitches.
  19. One of the worst innings for Garland all season. Blue Jays seem to have a good plan against him.
  20. PK is locked in right now, and he's doing a much better job at staying on the pitch. AJP is also just a monster at the plate right now. Our 4-5-6 has defnitely caught fire at the perfect time.
  21. Personally, I'm happy to see Buehrle's streak end. Honestly, who ever cared about a streak like this? I think it's a good thing the streak is over, as it might save Buehrle some unnecessary pitches the rest of the season in order to keep the streak going. There was no reason to keep Buehrle in for 6 full innings in his last start by KC where they put up a big crooked number in the 6th inning. Buehrle throws a ton of innings, and I don't think it would be a bad thing if Ozzie plays it safe with him down the stretch (assuming we still have a solid lead).
  22. QUOTE(danman31 @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) Why do you keep saying that? Because it's the general consensus within the Tampa organization right now. Tampa has plenty of outfielders, and they'd rather build around Crawford and Young than Rocco.
  23. Thankfully, it's over. Can Viz ever throw a slider that's not a hanger?
  24. Viz just flat out sucks. They're one batter away from getting the tying run to the plate, and Ozzie is busy dicking around with our worst pitcher in the game. And another thing, Iguchi would have turned that DP easily. Ozuna took way too long to get rid of it.
  25. Great, Viz is in, and gives up the leadoff hit. I don't like seeing Viz in here at all.
