  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 02:05 AM) Scared the crap out of me. Anyways Viz looked much better today, he needs to use that sinker of his some more that thing just dies low and away to lefties. There's a reason he was so much better against lefties last season.
  2. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 02:02 AM) It's ridiculous. We've reverted back to last year's team so gradually, that most of us didn't even notice. I dunno, but did it start when a certain player came back to the team? Don't get me wrong, Frank is easily the best Sox player ever. However, he's SOOO one-dimensional now, and that one dimenson was something that we didn't really need on this team (if anything, something we needed less of).
  3. The thing is, Frank should have never been playing tonight if Ozzie is planning on playing him only 2 out of every 3 games in a series. With the soft-tossing lefty tomorrow, Frank was a much better match-up than against Johnson.
  4. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) A pitch right down broadway, and he's selfish? Hmm... Should I trust the guy who has gotten on-base at a .400+ clip for most of his career, or a message board lurker? GMAFB. I can live with your first statement, but quit the bulls***. Selfish my ass. Right now, he's not the same hitter he used to be in terms of his approach. Yes, I consider Frank extremely selfish now. He's had 3 opportunities with a RISP this game, and he's been swinging out of his ass for the fences every time.
  5. We're still playing for that 3 run homer it seems like. We have no balance in our lineup right now with all our speed at the top, and it creates a situation where it's either homer or nothing for far too many hitters.
  6. Frank's success right out of the gates made him think that he could just rely on hitting homers, and he's be able to do it at a great rate. However, his swing is so f***ed up right now. His entire backside is collapsing, and his swing is as bad as I've ever seen it. I would have rather had OMIT up that AB than Frank.
  7. ENOUGH OF THOMAS IN THE 3RD HOLE! He's turned into one of the most selfish hitters I've ever seen in baseball.
  8. Wow, some ridiculous range right there by Logan.
  9. Pods is chasing high pitches that the only thing he could do with them is fly out weakly to LF.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) Is it asking too much to see a Sox hitter just try and hit a liner this inning? Thanks Juan

  12. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 01:47 AM) Thank the f***in stars Uribe is back. No kidding. I like Ozuna, but he would have needed a cutoff man on that throw.
  13. Wow, Polanco was watching that ball the entire play instead of just busting his ass to first. Hawk sounded like he was ready to give up.
  14. Man, Viz just hangs almost every slider he throws to righties. You could tell that Inge was just waiting for that pitch over the plate.
  15. Someday, we're going to stop letting Nook beat us with the bunt. You need to play your 1b and 3b about 5 feet in on the grass to try and take that bunt away from him. Nook will be stealing here, so might want to do a pitch out.
  16. Rowand should be in the game for defensive reasons now, and Pods goes to LF. Vizcaino is in though. We might need 10 outfielders if we hope to win.
  17. Our offense is f***ing brutal. How many times have guys weakly grounded out on the first pitch?
  18. With Percival being EXTREMELY slow to home, this would be a good time to use Harris as a runner.
  19. Safe to say our hitters aren't trying to hit singles this inning? Some huge swings so far by PK and Everett.
  20. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) Good thing we won last night. That is true, even though our offense has looked like absolute s*** lately. WAY, WAY too easy of outs.
  21. Seems like if any Sox pitcher ever goes more than an inning in a game, they automatically suck the next time they pitch.
  22. Politte faced these same hitters in last night's game. We're going to need a miracle to get out of this inning without allowing a run.
  23. I would love to see a Sox hitter take a nice, simple swing like Polanco just did.
  24. Polanco is doing something our hitters can't do at all: fight off tough pitches and foul them off.
