  1. If the Sox made this move, it would lock up the AL cenrtal...for the Twins. Valentin has been great for the Sox this year, and is our only good bat from the left side. Ramon Ortiz is not very good, and pitching at the Cell would only add to the amount of homers that he allows. There's a reason that he wasnt in the rotation to start the year for the Angels. If KW makes this trade, I hope he is fired at the end of the year and never has a role in the Sox organization again. Also, for everyone saying that Harris could play 2b, and Uribe ss..I say what the hell are you thinking? Harris can't even hit the ball out of the infield anymore, and Uribe looks like he already peaked. The Sox need Valentin, and defnitely don't need a crappy, expensive pitcher like Ramon Ortiz.
  2. What a terrible, terrible deal. It's one thing to give up minor league prospects, but to give away your catcher of the future when you have no one in the minors to replace him is just f***ing stupid. I thougth this was a joke when I first heard it.
  3. Willie and Uribe sure went from .300 hitters to easy, easy outs.
  4. Hey dumbs*** Ozzie, stop pitching this worthless f***er! I'm sure glad of the veteran presence that this piece of s*** brings to the team. When are people going to stop blowing Ozzie for everything that he does, and realize he's clueless.
  5. The choice is easy if the Sox are more than 7 or 8 games out...YOU TRADE ORDONEZ! It sounds as if he won't be back. Then, you trade him and get 2 or 3 top prospects for him.
  6. Why do people think this current Sox team has any chance to compete against a very good Twins team? The Twins are able to march out L. Ford as a back-up outfielder, and the Sox have R. Gload! I really hope we don't trade too much of our future for what could be an impossible title run.
  7. First, the talent level on the Sox is terrible right now. If the Sox arent facing a lefty or a running team, Olivo should not be in the lineup. He's clueless against righty pitchers. Also, Rowand leading off is a good idea vs lefties. However, he should be way down in the lineup vs righties. I absolutely hate the idea that KW and Ozzie havent wanted to call up Reed or Borchard in order to give Gload and Timo more time. You play the players that can excel best at that position. If Borchard is not better than Gload is right now, then trade his ass before he's 35 years old. Just look at the talent gap between the Sox and Cubs right now. I hate those f***ers from the northside, but their lineup is 5 times more talented than the Sox is.
  8. I Dont get why Timo hasnt been playing more. He was one of our best offensive players the last few weeks. Instead, we play Gload against Prior, which is just asking for strikeouts.
  9. Exactly, the bullpen is awful. However, Ozzie is playing into the suckitude by bringing in Jackson to face a strong lefty in Broussard. Jackson has never been effective against lefties. KW proves his ingnorance by not addressing this problem, being the talent level of the relievers.
  10. Even though Jackson sucks, Buehrle was the one that allowed 3 hits to start the inning. Time to release Jackson, and call up Jose Santiago.
  11. Seriously, Ozzie Guillen might be the worst manager of pitchers that I have ever seen. He continues to leave batters in way too long. There's a reason that we have like 6 starters who have given up 7 or more earned runsi n a game. Ozzie has his head up his ass way too much when the Sox are in the field.
  12. Hawk was too busy saying how great of an approach that was by Rowand to mention that you have got to hit that ball in the air. Of course, Hawk was too busy kissing up to a player or management to say that should have been Rowand's goal.
  13. How f***ing stupid can you be to throw a 3-2 breaking ball to someone who has no prayer of pulling your fastball? I hope Don Cooper doesn't have a lot of job security right now, him and his pitchers are disgracing themselves.
  14. Ozzie should have brought in Marte to face Lawton in the 6th. Cotts is just a disaster waiting to happen, and Lawton's ab was a crucial spot of the game. However, Ozzie let Cotts pitch and we know the rest. I believe the Sox are 3-16 when Cotts pitches this year.
  15. Olivo can't keep playing against righties. He's too easy of an out.
  16. Cotts needs to go down to the minors and learn another pitch. Lawton had it easy against him, he was just looking for the fastball. Ozzieball, it f***ing SUCKS!
  17. You make some very good points. I honestly feel like the talent level problems is a result of the lack of off-season moves made by the team, as well as the continued inability to produce minor league players that can be productivity in the majors.
  18. I am so sick and tired of Sandy Alomar. Will someone please tell Ozzie to stop playing him f***ing every other game. Isn't it time Sandy needs another knee surgery? I think it would benefit the Sox. He also calls a terrible game, Sox pitchers have no clue what to do on 0-2 pitches.
  19. I'll give credit to Schoeneweis for keeping us in the game after his terrible start. Sox didnt stand a very good chance to win this game, and doesnt look like they will. Tomorrow is a huge game with Loaiza vs Elarton.
  20. You're damn right that I believe KW deserves a lot of the blame for this mess which is the White Sox right now. Everyone knew coming into the year that the Sox needed a 5th starter, but KW and Ozzie foolishly thought Wright could do the job. It is unimaginable how a team could try out like 5 different people to be a 5th starter, and each one does worse than the last.
  21. God, what is KW thinking by not making any moves to help this team? Schoeneweis can't be counted on, he's just not that good. Any good hitting team will eat him up. I'm scared of what the Cubs might do to him on Saturday.
  22. I really don' like how people say the Sox have done decent w/out Ordonez in the lineup. If they lose tonight, the Sox will have lost 4.5 games in the standings since the injury. That is not good.
  23. Both Uribe and Konerko were swinging out of their asses in those crucial situations.
  24. Tonight is another example of why the Sox should either call up Borchard, or trade him before he's 40 yrs old. Even with Maggs out, there's no excuse to be playing Timo against a tough lefty. Borchard's switch hitting would help us out in many situations.
  25. One interesting thought: Ozzie needs to use Olivo whenever possible against lefties. He's great vs lhp, pretty worthless vs rhp. Also, I don't know why he has Timo batting 2nd against a tough lefty. Therefore, I would like ot see Olivo batting 2nd vs lefties. He might be our best bunter, and is an above average hitters vs lefties.
