  1. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 13, 2005 -> 12:53 AM) I like it....were Uribe's or AJ's HR's bombs??? Both were no-doubters.
  2. Rowand is just phenomenal against lefties. A lefty pitcher is just perfect for his swing. He should be our number 3 hitter the entire season vs lhp.
  3. Doesn't get any easier than that.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ May 13, 2005 -> 12:37 AM) Nope, Pablo. I just think he looks funny in that pic. EDIT: Ozuna that is Gotcha, thanks. I was just making sure it wasn't Curtis Granderson.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ May 13, 2005 -> 12:35 AM) AJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's the deal with the Logan picture? I assume that's Nook, correct?
  6. Another game, another lead!!!!
  7. Is it me, or does everyone seem in slow motion on the field tonight?
  8. 28 pitches for Chen according to yahoo.
  9. I missed the beginning of the telecast.....why is Ventura in the booth?
  10. I love Rowand in the 3rd spot against lefties. Hopefully he'll do good so Ozzie will keep him there when Everett's healthy again.
  11. QUOTE(Y2HH @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:51 PM) Everyone, I believe this deserves a collective thank you to Hermanson! This is all we have to do: Still have another inning to go. No reason to jinx him right now.
  12. That way this series has been going, I thought that was a liner into the outfield for Hollins.
  13. QUOTE(KWs OK for Me @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) I don't like this move. Marte looked good, he got bunt singled, and would have been a DP ball if the runner wasnt in motion Huff's single was up the middle. The only reason it was close to being an out was because the runner was in motion. Marte left his fastball out right over the plate.
  14. Ozzie couldn't just leave well enough alone I guess. I can't criticize him for bringing in Marte to face two lefties, but leaving in Politte wouldn't have been a terrible decision.
  15. And that's why Cliff deserves the role of being our righty set-up man if Hermanson is our closer.
  16. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) Does anyone not hate him? I really, really do hate that guy. Why not Anderson? Why not even Giambi? He always has a high OBP. There's a few people on this board who think he's worthy of a roster spot and the amount of playing time he receives. That's fine though, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
  17. Another horrendous AB for everyone's favorite
  18. QUOTE(Y2HH @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:35 PM) I think it has more to do with Viz not pitching enough yet...he will get that speed back, but since he pitches once every 10 days his strength isn't returning. Last year, Vizcaino was throwing 95 mph and used a pretty nasty splitter in the games I saw him against the Cubs. Now, all he's throwing is that slider with an occasional 91-92 mph fastball (which he's had no control over).
  19. Great job Cliff! By far the best fastball on our team.
  20. Good job Cliff. Need to get Sanchez out here though.
  21. Here's the problem I have with Ozzie, so that people don't complain about me using hindsight: Charles Johnson lacks bat speed now, and can't catch up to fastballs. On the other hand, A. Gonzalez destroys a good fastball. However, Ozzie brings in Politte, a fastball pitcher, for Gonzalez instead of Johnson. I just disagree with it. Hopefully Cliff will do the job.
  22. Yep, Politte should have been brought in after the 4 pitch walk to Singleton. Instead, Ozzie waits for the tying run to get up to bat. Not only that, Alex Gonzalez is a dead fastball hitter....so he brings in Politte. That's stupid managing.
  23. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) We get the point. Timo sucks. Is that for me or Ozzie? Until Timo stops making stupid mistakes in seemingly every game he plays in, there will be a lot of people on here b****ing about him.
  24. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) El Duque is at 85 pitches. This better be his last at bat since we need to keep him injury free Give Botch, Vizcaino and Walker the 7/8/9 unless hell breaks loose in one of them It's still a 4 run game. Tampa has made similar leads disappear quickly already this series. El Duque has been cruising lately....I'm sure he'll start the next inning.
  25. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 11, 2005 -> 08:11 PM) Even if Frank gets healthy we better upgrade one other position offensively. I would have to say 3B if Crede shows his earlier streak was a fluke Sorry, but Crede's not going anywhere. He's cheap, plays good defensive, and is hitting near .300 right now. He's one of the last players on our team I think deserves to be in hot water (even though I'm sick of the weak pop ups he hits).
