  1. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 04:17 AM) If we can't hit here we can't hit anywhere. Nice to see us get a laugher going into an offday though. stealin lines from Farmer and Rooney eh.....
  2. Hey lets look at it this way...the cubs series are 6 of "those" 42 games Hawk speaks of.....a win is a win, this year I am treating the series like any other series. It is nice to say to a scrubs fan we won the series this year, but it is even nicer to say "Best Record in baseball". I dont care who we are playing as long as we win
  3. QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 08:56 PM) Yep. Bring on the Yankees. They are not the same team this year, and playing them is an advantage. i beg to differ......just wait til we do play them you know they are gonna be streaking
  4. Well looks like were getting Chavez
  5. Eddie....... the "new" Neal Cotts is still available though......
  6. Wait did I already say Timo Blows? Just making sure
  7. Barry Made them pay $75 for this pictures cause they are white.... I also would like to add that I don't think he is a racist, but just an extreme Jack-Ass.......i found this picture on his website, these people won a contest, I think the contest was to get a picture takin with him......WELL WHOOPDE f***ING DO.....I'd take a picture with Timo over this piece of s***
  8. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 04:23 PM) I hope Barry Bonds never passes the Babe, I hope Barry Bonds never plays baseball again, I hope Barry Bonds is always seen as a f***ing cheater who used steroids knowingly. He's a piece of s*** and will never be half the player that the Babe was. You know what, this is horrible to say, but I can't say I dont agree with at least some of it...... Ever since Bonds has been a daily occurance on ESPN for the past 5 years i began not liking him more and more. I have never seen a player whine so much. Maybe thats just what the media is showing but for gods sake act like a professional ball player. In the recent year it has gotton to the point where he thinks he is some sort of immortal. I mean please, doesnt even let his team know how he is doing, has press confernece after press conference trying to make people feel bad for him, and has a website dedicated to everything BARRY. What a freakin Jack Ass, I wouldn't mind never seeing him play an MLB game again. And I am glad the sox took some scrub over him in the 1985 draft.....eat s*** barry
  9. QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 01:27 PM) Why would they do that? I believe because of advertising reasons.....freakin corporate america
  10. "Tightness" doesnt sound that bad......he was still ready to play on Monday, so i could see him taking a few more says off but it doesnt seem that bad.....just needs a little Ben Gay
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) s*** I'm diehard and unless I'm going to games I rarely know who the hell they are playing the next day, lol. One thing I'm not is a schedule watcher and I don't pay much attention to standings until after the all star break. So your tellin me you dont know were 39-19 and 4 games over the twins......BS
  12. Other then the rest factor.....if your gonna get to the playoffs, facing these teams near the end is the best way to season the ballclub for what they should expect
  13. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) But have you seen those? They are red, and the S is all jacked up Yea I believe the hat you are talking about is the 70's Era white sox hat. I have that one in my collection and whenever I wear it Scrubs fans are always like "Why are you wearing a Red Sox hat" and I have to explain to them that the White Sox have not always been Black and White..... I guess you could call it a "Red" Sox hat
  14. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 8, 2005 -> 01:28 AM) Ross was on the Red Cubs too? thats the Iowa Cubs....
  15. Jersey you have a lot of time on your hands dont you
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) Why is it that with Crede and Uribe it always seems that when they take the first pitch, it's a strike, but when they swing at it, it ends up being outside the strike zone? They like eating s***
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) Its been said he teaches Uribe patience at the plate. Maybe he does that with others as well. Havent herd that before.....seriosuly Uribe needs to slow the f*** down and look at a few pitches
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) Regardless.. like I said Denver, which consists of over 4 million people itself, is more than capable of filling that place. Apparently the fans just aren't interested. 22 Colorado 23,380 23 Florida 23,231 24 Chicago Sox 23,120 Do I need to respond to this......its funny an attendence thread thats not about us for once......therefore i must bring our weak asses into this
  19. I would like to add.......has anyone noticed that since Frank has been back everyone (excluding maybe crede) has been hitting the ball better. It has been this way since 90, when Frank is in the clubhouse this team hits better.
  20. In all reality I would keep both of them....I know there is the ordeal of getting each of them at bats, but if either of them arnt whining too bad I dont see the reason to ship eithier of them off. If it came down to it I would keep Frank.....he is the face of the white sox, he brings people to the stands. We better be doing something really good if eithier of them is to go, I dont want some scrub "Prospect" that doesnt help our push for the postseason this year. I mean really can any of you consipricy theorists think of anything plausible where we could get something for one of these players
  21. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 04:24 PM) Location, location, location. The closest MLB teams are over a 1000 miles away. The Rockies pull fans from Salt Lake City, Cheyenne, Topeka, Lincoln, & Las Vegas as well many smaller cities in that Tri-State area. It's still a novelty to go to a Rockie game out there. If Vegas ever gets a team expect their attendance to drop considerably. It would have the same effect on the Rockies as the Nationals are having on the Orioles. I'll never forget that one columnist that put down our uniforms. What an idiot! It's a well known fact that most young people think the Sox logo & colors are the coolest amongst all major league teams. Overall the road attendance (26K/gm) has not been much better than the home attendance (23K/gm). But I think a strong June will bring those still expecting the Sox to hit a wall onto the band wagon. I'd be surprised if the best team in MLB doesn't approach 30K/gm on the road before the season ends. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 04:33 PM) I'm pretty sure Phoenix, KC, Arlington and San Fran are less than 1000 miles.. San Fran and KC more like 600 miles.. Colorado doesn't need to pull from anywhere else. There are plenty of people in and around the Denver area. Umm Chicago is within 1000 miles of Denver......I can see some of the closer states but I cant see people traveling more then like 300 miles to go watch a Rockies game.....
  22. Good post, I would have to agree though....I don think Timo will be refining his skills anytime soon
  23. I gotta say, that last Cheer as shingo struck him out was pretty loud for a bunch of fairweather fans.....i'm moving out to colorado in august, maybe some of us sox fans just migrate there
  24. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jun 6, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) that church is the best place to park. shhhhh........
