Yes opening day for Kannapolis! TBD on the hill, really?! Smith for AAA. A little odd they pitch Schultz and Smith back to back. Would expect a right hander in-between . https://www.mlb.com/prospects/stats/affiliates?teamId=145&date=04/02/2026 https://www.mlb.com/milb/scores/all/all/whitesox?affiliateId=mlbcom-milb

Paez DFA'd, Sims called up
Yeah that one always didn't make sense. He looked pretty good once he went to the pen. They needed help and never tried him.

Official 2026 win prediction thread.
Afraid we will have some inevitable injuries and certainly in first half don’t have the depth. Also worried about Colson. Hope he isn’t this generation’s Beckham.

Lock out 2027
That just seems so stupid.

Lock out 2027
Figured Jimmy or someone might know the answer to my question : During a lockout, are players who are on the injured list still able to get medical attention and rehab or are they also impacted? I started thinking about this when I got the Vasil news. One would think they could but logic doesn't enter into a lot of labor disputes.

MLB.com Top 30
The Sox graduated a lot of players from last year and the system seems better but I did a quick look on some other teams. Prospects rated as 45 or better. WS=10. Cubs 13, Cle 17, Det 13, KC 17, Dodgers 19, St Lou 20. So our depth still has a lot of room to improve.

MLB.com Top 30
Jim Callis of MLB.com has released his top 30 Sox prospects. Despite a lot of graduations last year a pretty good list. 5 overall top 100, 13 are aged 21 or younger. https://www.mlb.com/milb/prospects/whitesox/

Pitching analytics
For pitchers, if drafted/signed by July, it is 7 1/2 months until spring training. Granted pitchers are throwing to get ready for spring training but I wonder, especially for college pitchers, if that is why many don't pitch in the year drafted? Perhaps some teams are focusing more on the strength/mechanical side of things.
