  1. Do you hit Barrett now even though it wasn't intentional.
  2. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 02:35 PM) Mitch Hedberg...nice. I'm all about honoring the Classic Hedberg jokes.
  3. He'd be the absolute perfect replacement for Podsednik plus he could be an amazing bench player if they wanted to go that route seeing how he plays 7 positions. Plus he is a 28 year old swith hitter with a VERY affordable contract.
  4. OH SNAP! That's from HalosHeaven, not really mlbtraderumors. HH has been pretty solid in the past and this does sound pretty awesome. God, I'd love Figgy on the South Side, normally he hits better than this, steals bases with the best of them and plays every position on the field. SIGN ME UP.
  5. When will pitchers realize that Jaque Jones can't hit a breaking ball? Why anyone would throw this guy anything straight is beyond me.
  6. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 02:13 PM) this is a different team with DLee and Barret in the line up... plus Piere has actually played half way decent this past week or 2. It's still a horrendous offense, he should not have struggled the way he did in the 1st against a team like this. Barrett hasn't played in 10 games and Lee just got back from a pretty serious hand injury, Pierre still sucks. The Cubs' offense is still pathetic.
  7. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) The guy has pitched a lot of Big games for us and pitched well. Right now he cant Command s*** He really doesn't have much movement either.
  8. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 02:08 PM) JG looked as bad as he could be in that 1st inning, and still only gave up 2 runs. If he can just throw more strikes we should win this thing He only gave up 2 runs because he's facing the worst offensive team in baseball and I agree, if he all of a sudden decides to throw strikes we will win.
  9. So what's the over/under on runs allowed this inning?
  10. I'd probably rather have Marshall right now than Garland.
  11. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 08:46 AM) How long does it take to fix an escalator? The final escalator going up at gate 5 has been broken all year. What's the hold up? An escalator never breaks, it just becomes stairs.
  12. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 10:39 PM) Rowand making the catch and then smashing into the wall is the best play of the year so far Rowand's play does not compare to Iguchi's, I love Row and all but it wasn't an amazing grab, just a tragic ending.
  13. That was a hell of a play, it ranks up there with the best of the season for sure.
  14. John Patterson was just taken out of the game in the 4th inning against the Blue Jays. He was throwing 91-92 MPH at the beginning of the game but by the start of the 4th inning he was down around 85-86. Something is wrong with Patterson's arm . . . again.
  15. I think Freddy Garcia and his 10 wins this season should start the All-Star game.
  16. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 11:23 AM) At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is wins. SABRmetrics is great and all, but baseball is more than stats, it's all the intangibles. I gotta agree, I can't wait to see Freddy Garcia hoist his Cy Young Award for the season. 10-4 AWESOME! If you want a team full of Jeroime Robertson's that's fine by me but you're not going to win s***.
  17. QUOTE(Walker2Baines @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 03:19 AM) Verducci spends a few weeks in spring training with the Blue Jays and then makes the cover of SI with them, so he has to repay them by saying three Blue Jays should be All Stars. Good job Tom. Or maybe those 3 really truely deserve it. The only one I really don't agree with is Giambi, the rest are just about perfect.

    Miss You

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) Roger Clemens???? Exactly what I thought, damn Tex looks exactly like Clemens.
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 10:50 AM) JC is the most dominant pitcher since the last all star game. Wins wise, this is true. According to most every other stat though, Santana has been the best pitcher in baseball since mid last season.
  20. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 01:58 AM) holy s***...these guys are on the pipe. Do you think the Tigers can go 47-37 the rest of the way?
  21. QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 12:01 AM) Oh yea. Several reasons but I won't get into it. I just laugh everytime you say he has no offensive game whatsoever and he can hit 15-18 foot jumper regularly where Chandler couldn't even sniff a jumper at all. He is what you call "raw" Chandler is "extremely raw" like of like Sene. I honeslty feel Pax will do whatever is best for the team if it's drafting Thomas, someone else, (I personally like Roy, Aldridge even though Rudy Gay will be the best player in this draft when it's all said and done) or trade (I still feel personally we will make a trade with someone) I will be at work unfortunitally so I won't see the draft so hopefully I'll come home tomorrow hearing that we got Garnett.. Why again do we want another small forward when the Bulls already have Deng and Nocioni? There's nothing right now that points to him being a 4 in the NBA so why not just take Gay with the 2nd pick seeing how he'll probably be the best player to come out of this draft? QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 28, 2006 -> 12:02 AM) I agree on the Garnett part but I just hate Thomas. He is smaller than Rudy Gay. Come on. You have allowed ESPN to brainwash you. Oh where, oh where do you come up with these awesome lines?
