  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 08:37 PM) Nice.
  2. I sure do hope Josh Beckett's PERFECT GAME remains intact, that would be quite the accomplishment pitching a PERFECT GAME.
  3. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 08:14 PM) Wow! I can't believe they sent him on that one. You almost ALWAYS send him with 2 outs. that was such a horrid pitch by Pettitte.
  4. QUOTE(CardsJimEdmonds15 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 07:30 PM) Detroit is stealing signs off our Crapenter.. LOL Sorry guys.. didnt think we'd play like s*** still This wasn't part of the deal.
  5. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 06:57 PM) Angels and Krod was pitching. K-Rod just muffed that ball too, got kind of lazy and it cost them a game.
  6. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 06:54 PM) Joe Crede or Pablo Ozuna? Widger
  7. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) Ichiro did that in Japan. Ozzie did that in America.
  8. QUOTE(CardsJimEdmonds15 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 11:24 AM) The Cards have b****ed, besides Duncan? I dont see anyone b****ing.. Just a source.. big deal? They could have very well been tipping pitches but it had more to do with Mulder being injured and pitching and Marquis sucking to me.. and Reyes being awesome.. Well this is true, though the article did say the dugout was convinced that the camera was stealing signs. I don't know how they got this information about the dugout but it does seem LaRussa and company were worried about a camera according to this article.
  9. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 04:31 PM) Both of us are now splitting hairs about how weak the NL East is. Like I said in an earlier post the whole NL is weak this season and thats because the talent level is nowhere near that of the AL. The real crux of my argument all this time is that the Mets, while they have a good record and are on top of their division, simply can't hang with the big dogs in the AL and as such dont belong, IMHO, anywhere in the top 5 of any MLB wide power rankings. I was ony addressing one specific post of yours, not your overall argument.
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) Woah You're good. At times, I'm scary good. Jenks is going 1-2-3 in the 9th, just you wait and see.
  11. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 04:24 PM) Just because the other divisions are also weak doesn't make the NL East any less weak now does it? Like I said, we can only really compare teams to the others within their own league and since the NL East is about equal to if not better than the other divisions in the National League, it's not fair to say the Mets are feasting off a weak division.
  12. QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 04:18 PM) I see history repeating itself and Pods hitting a walk off. Then wouldn't he do that tomorrow?
  13. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 04:11 PM) The problem is that they indeed DO play in a weak division. They play weak teams ........ they get wins. Im not saying that the Mets are not a good team but they are not nearly as good as ESPN and their cronies are making them out to be. You can call my statement ignorant if you want to but a look at the standings makes it an accurate one. Actually that's what makes it an inaccurate one. You specifically called out the NL East saying; "the Mets play in a weak division where their nearest competitor is barely at .500" at this currently point in the season we can only compare teams and divisions to their competition within thier own league, the NL East is no weaker than the NL Central or West.
  14. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 04:02 PM) Lets expand that then. The whole NL is weak and they, for the time being, happen to be the tallest midget of the bunch. Does that work for ya? You made a completely ignorant statement and I corrected you, I'm not sure what the problem is.
  15. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 10:52 AM) I've never watched one second of American Idol, but I've seen the Ford commercial that guy is doing. He sux every ass. How bad were the people he beat out? ^^^ HAHA, yes, he is horrible. I didn't see a single episode of the show but I've heard him sing a few times, horrid. Even worse is that they play that commercial non-stop during Sox games.
  16. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jun 23, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) Lets not forget that the Mets play in a weak division where their nearest competitor is barely at .500. You can say that for every division leader in the NL, if you combine the records of all non-first place teams in the NL who are currently above .500 you get a record 8 games over the break even mark, the division they're in has nothing to do with it.
