QUOTE(Da Sox @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) They don't need a SS... perez is working fine... what they NEED is a bullpen(closer) so i don't see this guy goin to the scrubs anytime this year. It's really sad seeing all these people watching Neifi Perez bat .393 and think it's for real, that he'll be like this all year. Neifi Perez sucks, he spen 6 years in Colorado and never batted over .298 that is the sign of a s***ty hitter. He leaves the Rockies and goes ot KC what does he do there well he hits .241 his first year and .236 his second and final year with the Royals. 2003 with the Giants he hits .256 and .232 in 2004 with San Fran before they release him after 103 games that season. Neifi Perez is a f***ing Horrible hitter. The only thing he brings to a team is an above average glove and some dominished speed.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) Pokey Reese might have been a nice move this offseason. He's garbage at the plate, but he sucks up everything... The key word in that sentence was sucks.

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 07:45 PM) Isn't Iguchi a former SS? Is it that far out to think he could do it for one more game...? Either that or we need to bring a SS up quick, even a defensively sound minor leaguer is better then Willie. I don't think they want to be moving around a player who is so new to this league. He's just starting to get used to American baseball and American 2nd base.
-
QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 07:42 PM) Sounds good, but be prepared to see wee Willie at SS quite possibly... God I hope not.

QUOTE(silver and black @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) let me guess... the angel will be bartolo colon Oh god no.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 07:02 PM) 4-0 pitchers to start the season... Dontrelle Willis Jon Garland Jon Lieber Jamie Moyer All are either former Flubs or former Flubs prospects. Garland(1st), Moyer(6th) and Willis were all drafted by the Cubs and have gone on to at the least become decent pitchers.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) Who is a great major league pitcher they have traded away. I know about Joe Carter, Raffy, and Brock but I can't think of a pitcher they traded away. I hope you aren't referring to Jon Garland as the only "great" example. D-Train.
-
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) Abreu is an elite player even if you have never seen ANYONE wear an Abreu jersey in your life. I think that Philly wouldn't trade him pretty much for anyone except maybe Pujols. As far as Polanco goes, the price of the trade is just too high. The Cubs are interested now and they will help bid up the price to be unreasonable. That price is someone like B-Mac and more. We'll have to make do elsewhere I hope the Cubs give up the great Angel Guzman to get Polanco. The Cubs have a great track record of trading young pitching prospects and having them become great Major League pitchers.

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 06:38 PM) If we make it to Miami, i just know Damon Jones is gonna really irratate me during that series He irritates everyone cause all he does is shoot from the outside.

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 04:51 PM) Is Charles Rogers actually going to play a full season? I think the bigger question is, will he ever play a full GAME again.
-
QUOTE(C_LEE45 @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 06:23 PM) cause maybe they woke up and can see to win they will open the pocket book and a 16-6 start just might help the cause and really blow the twins minds knowing we got Abreu JR's main agenda is not to win ball games, it's to turn a profit. So even if he did see an opertunity to solidify this team and send them to the playoffs he will not pull the trigger unless it costs him nothing.

QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 05:57 PM) how could baseball ban this? if its just lenses, then it wud be a must-need for a baseball players life? like glasses? They would ban those particular kind of contacts. I doubt that NIKE is selling prescription contact lenses.
-
QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 06:09 PM) True... I guess... it just seems like we get no1 "top playerlike" who can do it all like abreau / arod / pujols / beltran can. but mayb im just being a retard, and asslicking those players to much. i just love players who can do it all like they can, and the sox dont seem to have much of that for past decades. (other then frank thomas. who still couldnt do it all {steal} ) If you're going to say that Frank is at fault because he can't steal bases then take Pujols off of your list. 13 stolen bases in 4 years hardly qualifies him as a base stealer.
-
QUOTE(Al Lopez's Ghost @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) If Uribe were to be out for a while, how about Cliff Politte and Ozuna for Neifi Perez? Perez won a gold glove at short somewhere. Neifi Perez is still one of the Top 5 worst hitters in baseball. Don't Be fooled by this sudden surge of his.

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:24 PM) I say we put Gordon and Pargo on Shaq. I think they can handle the assignment. Uh, no.

Well games over. Jesse Crain with the win.

QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) Here's an idea, some team needs to knock Lew Ford on his ass. He is WAY too comfortable at the plate. He always has the same f***ing look on his face wether he just struck out or just got a game winning hit he's alway got that smug f***ing look on his face.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) I'm happy for you. Can I get your autograph? Why wouldn't you want the autograph of the modern day nostradamus.

Griffey is supposedly wearing them too, so don't take to much stock into this.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) I f***ing HATE Lew Ford. He is by far the most hated Twin in my book right behind Torii Hunter. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2005 -> 04:32 PM) PREDICTION: Lew Ford with a game winning hit in the top of the 11th. I don't want to be right. I just always am.
