Chicago White Sox at Oakland A's
QUOTE (fathom @ May 15, 2011 -> 03:52 PM) And we have like a 40-45% success rate I believe. A bad combo to have IMO.

Chicago White Sox at Oakland A's
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 15, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) 36/41 success rate against the White Sox. 88%. Covelli has Buehrle read, according to DJ. Of course, one of those was Crisp getting thrown out at home. Horrid.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 15, 2011 -> 03:19 PM) The only way it doesn't happen is if Ozzie is no longer the manager. You know I'm right. I disagree

QUOTE (fathom @ May 14, 2011 -> 04:32 PM) Shocking Morel with a weak out to the right side. Lucky for him, Teahen is injured. Sounds like Hawk is preparing us for the Viciedo era to start soon. Lets go start it Sunday.

How to Get Viciedo in the Line UP
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:40 PM) I could just see Jordan Danks coming up, failing more horrifically than Brian Anderson in 2006, then that being used as the reason how Ozzie ruined his career and his brother left the organization to become a free agent. I kid. Well, just sort of. It does seem like we're back to another Wise, Erstad, Mackowiak, etc., situation. It's not like Ozzie hasn't benched players like Swisher in the past that had big contracts. The problem is that doing so made Swisher's value negligible to our organization. And you can't argue that going with veterans in the past like Uribe down the stretch in 2008 and Vizquel in 2010 hasn't worked out quite well. But it seems Ozzie always prefers the fading yet "professional" veteran. By benching him, it's not like you undermine Pierre's value. You're not going to recoup anything for him at this point, so they should defer to putting the personnel on the field that give them the best chance to win any given game. Viciedo does 2 arguments against him, Bell and the minor league staff might not think he's quite ready defensively AND/OR the plate discipline issue. Danks is not being called up.

How to Get Viciedo in the Line UP
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 12, 2011 -> 12:11 PM) And you still have no idea how Viciedo is in LF. You literally have never seen him play it. No, I have not seen him play LF this not brain surgery SS2K5 it is f***ing baseball. He cannot be any more worse in LF than noodle arm Pierre.

How to Get Viciedo in the Line UP
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 12, 2011 -> 08:36 AM) You have no idea if that is actually true or not. It is simple addition by subtraction to me. Pierre has the 2nd worst fielding percentage (.938) of any starting position player in the AL.

How to Get Viciedo in the Line UP
Put DV in LF you are not losing anything on defense and offense is a no brainer.
