  1. Well that sucks since PK just hit into a DP. Nice job Kotsay. Still would rather see you on the bench.
  2. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:47 PM) Twins win 5 of 6 on the road against 2 possible playoff caliber teams to start the season. Not bad. If they win today it'll be 6 of 7. I have doubts about both teams being playoff caliber. The Angels aren't as good as they used to be IMO.
  3. I hate the Twins, I hate our start to the season. I'm a hateful person.
  4. QUOTE (rafacosta @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:31 PM) isnt blackburn a lhp? Right handed I believe.
  5. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:27 PM) It seems like the long ball is still the only way that the Sox score runs. Maybe we're destined to be a home run team. Adam Dunn anyone? If we're still trying to be a home run team, it's going to be a long year. Quentin and Konerko are going to hit more than 25 homers this year, anyone else I'd be surprised to hit more than 20. Maybe Andruw Jones will hit some, but that all depends on how much he plays.
  6. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Apr 11, 2010 -> 01:25 PM) Quentin-PK at the 3-4 looks pretty decent so far. Now if 1 and 2 could get on base a little more.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 02:45 PM) Wait til we get on the road, folks. This is going to get ugly very very fast. with the way this team is I wouldn't be surprised if we have a better record on the road this year.
  8. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) See you in 2011 guys. /out bye-bye
  9. the thing with the Twins is, they haven't looked very impressive yet this year, except the 10 run game they had against the Angels. But they could easily go 6-1 on the road unless Buehrle can stop them tomorrow.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 02:26 PM) And in 2006 we were near the top of the league. So 2 years in the upper half, 2 years in the bottom 1/3, for a team that spends a large fraction of its money on pitching. AL ranks in ERA 2009: 2 2008: 6 2007: 12 2006: 10 2005: 2 Basically we were terrible in 2007, but we all knew that.
  11. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 02:21 PM) Oh please. You know just as much as I do that that division title was won by our starting rotation. We have had an abysmal offense for years. With that said, Kenny gets a ton of credit for the pitching staff. If only we could have pitching GM and an offense GM, because he'd be good at that. We have had a bad offense recently. AL ranks in runs/avg: 2009: 12/13 2008: 5/11 2007: 14/14
