  1. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:28 PM) Don't you wonder why some teams just continually produce solid big league players like the Braves, the Yankees, the Indians, the Twins...And then wonder why the Sox can't. Well it lies within the organization and sometimes you need a clean sweep to reconstruct. That and he obviously has not see the Xerox hitting approach every hitting prospect comes up with. Long looping swing that is overmatched the minute it starts to see major league pitching.
  2. Its f***ing June. Where is the offense. Where oh where is it. The clock is just about to strike summer. I keep flipping their cards. Now that they dug a hole, they will pretty much have to hit like near 300 for the rest of the year to get to their career averages. Where is the f***ing O.
  3. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:15 PM) I showed the stats in a previous Walker thread, but all of our guys' power numbers go way up when they come to the Sox. In 7 years prior to coming to the Sox, 37 total HR's and a career BA of .293. In 2 1/3 seasons since joining the SOx, 42 total HR's and a BA of .267. Their batting averages usually go down, their power numbers go up. Walkerball
  4. Uribe's stance is jacked up. His hands are super high now. Its not like he brings his hands down during his swing. He just uppercuts it.
  5. If we are 10 or more out, and Kenny decides to go for it, instead of reloading for next year he needs to go then. I am all for going for it. But if you are 10 or more out, and you have a bunch of pending FAs that are on an older team. Its time to move on. You get a crapload of talent. You fire every single hitting instructor in the minors and the one up here, and you reload. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:12 PM) All I know is that we are gone be fluttering around the .500 mark the whole season unless we do something drastic: firing Greg Walker would be a start, but also getting Fields up here, too. And we really need about 4 new starters for the offense to be average, specifically at LF. CF, SS and 3B. Also it wouldn't hurt at RF, 1B and C. Maybe even 2B. So when it comes down to hit, we really could just use a lineup makeover. Did you miss it earlier, when our Senile Cheerleader on TV said that we had a patient hitting team like the Yankees.
  6. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 09:05 PM) Cause KW is ignorant to the fact that these guys are old and suck. Seriously, Crede is done in sox uni, Juan just is too incosistent and we need a new SS next year. We don't have a LF or CF, right now. Our RF is getting old and losing bat speed quickily. Our Catcher is homerun or nothing. Paulie, god bless what he has done for this organization, but is just so frustrating right now because he is basically a 0 tool player at the moment. No average, no power, clearly no speed, not great D because of his range and an average arm. Our catcher used to be a spray hitter, that was until he landed here. Fire Walker, and bring someone that can undo his approach.
  7. Someone yelled something that was caught on camera. As Buckavic comes off the field, a "Say Hi to MacDougal next week"
  8. Besides to torture me, why hasnt Walker been canned by now. If any other team had an offensive output like this. He would be unemployed. Here we put out reports of how great he is, and how they love him.
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 08:53 PM) Mark has s*** himself, its like a shooting gallery out there. Too bad we can reciprocate it with Mr. 87 mph straight as an arrow batting machine. This guy reminds me of Felix Diaz without the curve.
  10. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 08:49 PM) So you really want Mackowiak over there? Actually, it might be better to play Uribe at 3B and Cintron at SS, as far as I'm concerned. You realize that is why we got Mack in the first place, to backup Crede. It was Ozzie who decided he was a CF.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 08:47 PM) He should never be playing 3b due to his arm. Put Mackowiak at 3b, and let Terrero play LF. That gives you a better team offensively and defensively. Playing a guy with a hurt arm at 3rd is on the top 100 stupid plays of the year.
  12. It should be 6-2 White Sox, however the corpseball rangers decided to take the game off because its under 90, and its a pitcher they never saw. Mike Gellinger uses video only to help them remember their feelings on how they used to hit. So obviously they have no clue what Cy Clippbards 87 mph fastball looks like. They could of practiced against him by going to Haunted Trails and going to the very fast machine.
  13. Buerhle is about to get jobbed. They bunt on Cintron, who is playing back. Then his weak ass arm cant throw Jeter out. Corners, no outs.
  14. Breaking pitch low and away, and one of our lift and pull guys cant control themselves and its a 6-3. This offense sucks.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 08:38 PM) Can I be optimistic and say that I think Dye's going to make this 4-1. If he can hit batting practice. He can hit this kid.
  16. Jesus f***ing Christ. 87 mph not well located, straight as an arrow. This guy should of been bang bang 6 runs and gone by the 2nd inning.
  17. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 08:34 PM) Is Clippard throwing an invisible ball? The weather is getting colder by the minute according to Hawk. I wonder when the 8 arm angles and the Johanesque change comes up.
  18. Walker will blame the cold tonight. If one of our hitters f***ing tips their hat to this pile of dung out there, they should just quit. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 08:31 PM) Holy cow....another proud moment for our minor league system. I feel bad for Terrero. Notice what happens though. They come up, they make contact. And after about game 3, their swing magically lengthens.
  19. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 08:29 PM) This guy is actually throwing a lot of pitches that lift and pull should work against. But to no avail. He is spotting some of it low and away. That is what is the Kryptonite to Walkerball.
  20. Here is a shot of Clippard in his Yankee Uniform.
  21. Any time now, the offense can hit. Alrighty offense, you can hit this pile of dung any day now. 87mph and straight, you dont need a scouting report to hit it. Imagine a batting machine.
  22. It must be so frustrating to be Buerhle, when you give great outings night in and night out, and your offense takes a crap everytime you pitch. Last week we had the excuse of facing Doc Halladay. Now we are facing a guy who probably has a hard time recording outs against the Barons.
