White Sox vs. Indians, 4/5/07 (W)

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 02:38 PM) What an effective lefty/lefty combo to lead our lineup today! At least Erstad swings the bat, Pods is worried about showing a smile to the vast members of his 13-15 femalle posenik club. There are the goofy girls you see at the park with Tee shirts, and self painted on Mrs Posednik on the back. -

Pods should have a poster of him prancing over to the dugout after a backwards K. That is one of his best action shots. -

Masset has a lot of movement on his pitches. His two seamer has a lot of potential, and his tight curve that he locates low on 2 strikes is nice. Impressed so far. -

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 02:07 PM) It is sad when, through 3 games, some of your relievers have more innings pitched than 2 out of 3 of your starters. Very sad. Last year I got all over Ozzie for pitching his starters too much and tiring them. Well welcome to Bizzaro World. -

AJ thinks he is a power hitter. I would like him to go back to being a dangerous doubles hitter like he was in Minny. -

Masset has looked pretty good so far. His 2 seamer is moving good, and if he throws that curve low like that on 2 strikes he will get some strikeouts. -

Pulls a 6-4-3 DP. This looks familiar. -

QUOTE(Y2HH @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 01:22 PM) If they execute the bunt properly in that position it works...however, our team has been notorious to totally F up bunts in big situations like that, where the bunt is actually NECESSARY. You dont see too many times in the AL where someone leads off the inning with a double, and then the next guy squares around. I am sure that back in the 1930's they might of done that, but not now. -

Odd they were able to move the runner without the batter squaring around to bunt. I never want to see a bunt again with a man on 2nd and no outs. -

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 01:12 PM) All fastballs and cutters to Hafner? The out pitch was a curve or a slider. It was moving and sweeping away. -

Mark is high with all of his pitches. He better get them down, or they will be landing in the parking lot/dan ryan. -

Ozzie is going to play prancer over and over until prancers sheer suckness will finally force KW's hand. They only way you can get Pods out of the lineup, is to take pods away. Ozzie needed to have Timo taken away from him. You cant play with him anymore. Now we may have to do the same with Pods. -
QUOTE(JERMAINEDYE4MVP @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 02:13 AM) WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE CAPS LOCK? IT'S MY STYLE. Dont let them hate on you. You are the Princeton Grad who works as an astro-physicist, dates only supermodels, bench presses Rosie O'Donnell, can leap small buildings with a single bound, and fights crime at night. Basically you are a better looking, more successful version of Tom Brady with Chuck Norris toughness. You are a hero, men want to be like you, and women want you. You > Tom Brady

QUOTE(JERMAINEDYE4MVP @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 01:52 AM) PRINCETON EDUCATION. YOU THINK YOU CAN TOP THAT? I DON' THINK SO. If Mensa hasn't contacted you yet, its a crime I say.

QUOTE(JERMAINEDYE4MVP @ Apr 5, 2007 -> 01:09 AM) NOT BECAUSE OF THE CREATOR. IT'S BECAUSE OF THE CAPS LOCK. ARE YOU TOO STUPID TO LET CAPS LOCK GET IN YOUR WAY OF A GREAT POST? FACE IT, OUR STARTING PITCHERS ARE NOT ALL OF THE SUDDEN GOING TO TURN IN TO 2005 PITCHERS. THAT SEASON WAS ABSOLUTE MIRACLE THAT HAPPENS ONCE IN A LIFETIME AND SOMETIMES NEVER. THE SOX' BEST INTERESTS SHOULD BE TO MOVE ALL OF THE AGING PLAYERS AND GET SOME TALENT BACK. HERE ARE SOME OF MY PROPOSALS: KONERKO TO RED SOX FOR JON LESTER THOME TO TWINS FOR MATT GARZA CREDE TO ANGELS FOR ERVIN SANTANA OR JOE SAUNDERS DYE TO METS FOR LASTINGS MILLEDGE BUEHRLE (IF HE PUTS TOGETHER A DECENT YEAR SAY 4.50 ERA) FOR A 2ND OR 3RD TIER PROSPECT GARLAND TO YANKEES FOR PHILLIP HUGH You should turn on the fair trades option on your Xbox360 and then you will find the game a bit harder.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 10:35 PM) I don't know about the ump call. I knew it was caught right away. I thought it was gone due to the wind was blowing out that way. The only thing that scared me is it was one of those one handed swings on the outside corner, like he threw the bat at it and got it up into the wind. When I saw Michaels make the break, I thought it would be over his head.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) The first post says it all. Coop was the darling of all coaches a couple years ago. He hasn't turned into an idiot in 2 years. It's the pitchers' fault. Today's game was a joke because of the weather. We needed to find a way to win and even the series. We didn't. This isn't starting out well. Cleveland already has won the series and is playing with the house's money and a lefty tomorrow. p.s. Thornton giving up a jack in that weather against a lefty??? What's up with that. Our guys certainly are not producing. Get your head out of your collective asses pitching staff! Thornton threw a 94 mph high fastball, bad location great job of getting to hat ball as it was high strike. That is a great piece of hitting there. It wasnt down the middle of the plate, it was high and he got around on it.

QUOTE(JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Apr 4, 2007 -> 09:53 PM) 2000- 4.66 ERA 2001- 4.55 ERA 2002- 4.53 ERA average ERA of 4.58 pre-coop 2003- 4.17 ERA 2004- 4.91 ERA 2005- 3.61 ERA 2006- 4.61 ERA in his first 4 full seasons with the sox cooper has compiled an average ERA of 4.33, which certainly is an improvement over the 3 years prior to his arrival but not nearly as great as alot of people on hear seem to think im afraid. good thing for 2005 otherwise he would be right on course with the previous 3 years. twins win 7-2 what else is new they pick up washed-up ramon ortiz and all of a sudden he is a solid #3? sure don't here about rick anderson complaining about lack of pitching talent even after losing both radke and liriano...just saying The twins also won by scoring 7 runs without a homer. Scrappy gap to gap hitting. Watch the final out of the sox game. We have men in scoring position, and Crede tries to lift and pull a pitch on the outter half. He is quoted as saying that with the wind he thought it was out. He was going for a dong, and we needed a single or a double. the minute our hitters figure out how to hit a single when we need it instead of trying to hit a 500 foot shot. We will be okay as a situational team. On our pitching staff, throw strikes. We need to do that. If we throw strike and get ahead we will be fine.
