  1. So Baltimore scores runs on Johan, the Devil Rays can hit and score runs on Johan. We look like the 12 year old worst team in the little league going up against the best in the Majors. Why can these teams do something, and we go up there and try to not get no hit.
  2. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 08:18 PM) who's comin in??? thong song
  3. Still going for the homer. When we quit this s*** out and start to play baseball, we might win some more games. With the way our team has pitched, our record should be a lot better.
  4. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 07:02 PM) I think they left him in Milwaukee. What is UP with all the strikeouts this year? Is it just me, or is this abnormal for us? Lift and Pull
  5. QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 06:58 PM) Man Thome cannot lay off that low and inside stuff! Hard to believe we are hitting .210 as a team.
  6. Is flanders hitting his drums up in the upper deck tonight. I havent hear the mighty bongo call of the lilly white warrior, HIMHAVEM NOLIFE WOLF
  7. Our offense needs to get their head out of its ass. We strike out way too much with men on in scoring position. Just hit a line drive and stop with the ESPN sportscenter heroic crap.
  8. From 1-2 to a full count. We f***ing love to nibble. And he strikes out Sizemore on a nasty moving away pitch. Javy needs to attack that zone, his stuff is good. Nibbling is only going to raise his pitch count.
  9. QUOTE(beautox @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 03:01 PM) Zambrano with a bad outing today, 6hits 4BB, ERA at 7.88 with the chance for another run to be charged to him, bases loaded no one out. Ron Santo is f***ing insane. The cubs are up 5 zip, with their ace cruising and he has a Zambozo moment walks the world, gives up a bunch of runs and then the cubs are down 6-5 giving up 6 runs in one inning. Wuertz comes in and strikes out the side, and Santo goes thats the momentum changer. Uh no, your ace and only good pitcher got pummelled again, at home and gave up 6 runs in one inning. Momentum is back to the team who came back from a 5 zip deficit. Enjoy your day you mope.
  10. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 12, 2007 -> 02:04 PM) NUKE CLEVELAND! He is shooting iraqis right now, can we take a message.
  11. Curt Schilling Captain Cheeseburger Fatabia Randy Johnson Julian Tavarez Manny Zambozo Mascots of certain Teams below The muppett musical of flag swinging, kazoo playing, battery throwing, bongo banging hippies in Oakland Ronny Woo and his associated clown convention Ned Flanders and his drum at the Jake The entire Red Cub nation and their NESN counterparts.
  12. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 12, 2007 -> 09:27 AM) I am looking forward to Al Sharpton's apology to the Duke players. And Jesse Jackson's.
  13. This ump is retarded, he cannot follow a 99 mph two seamer that comes back over the middle of the plate. Sexton has stone hands. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 08:17 PM) You have to wonder if Hernandez were two years younger, whether he would have been on the White Sox. It's no coincidence in my mind that he loved Garcia, who was pitching for Seattle in 2002, then happened to sign with their organization. This is why I remain hopeful for our future in Venezuela. Most pitchers take two seasons from the year they're signed to join a major league organization. We're coming up on that time period. Well lets see what the Ozzie Guillen academy does for us.
  14. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 08:15 PM) I blame no one on this site; just ESPN. I wonder if Berman blew his load over that. These Red Cub fans are much like their blue clueless bretheren.
  15. Someone throwing this hard, with that type of slider. This is not fair. Its like a video game.
  16. First rule of fight club, is that no one talks about fight club.
  17. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 04:43 PM) i love hearing blackjack b**** about Street not touching the rubber Farmer is doing the same thing.
  18. if it goes over the fence we can score. YEAH OUR HOME RUN APPROACH RUNS INTO ONE.
  19. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 04:18 PM) White Sox in 2006...after starting 1-4, went to 4-4 and then 13-5. What are the odds of that happening this season? They were hitting the ball like crazy last April.
  20. QUOTE(Friend of Nordhagen @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 04:10 PM) Not if you ask Greg Walker. I heard him a few weeks ago on the radio, saying that Iguchi got into some bad habits batting second. I am not kidding about this. Those bad habits are not getting around and getting under the ball enough to hit it out of the park.
  21. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 04:07 PM) Ok, it's not that smart to even think about being knocked out of the race 1 month into the season. Not even remotely. Seems each of the last few years, someone has gone down big in the first month or two and still made the playoffs. Astros, A's, Cardinals I think, etc. Those are in crappy divisions. We cant do that in our division, its the best in baseball.
  22. Jermaine in launch mode. Long looping swing trying to score without having to run.
  23. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:52 PM) 1) Anderson can't bunt to save his life 2) Every ball he pulls will end up in a double play on the infield...he can't instinctively go to the opposite field to advance a runner 3) Too many swings without contact...hit and run would be a disaster 4) Too impatient 5) Can't hit a breaking ball 6) He can't adjust his swing to hit sac flies You have just described our 3-4-5 hitters right now.
  24. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) I have a feeling the BA supporters' defense will be it's totally unfair to judge him because he's not getting regular at-bats. It's a given. I just wish he would get at least ONE swing per game that makes you believe he has a chance to hit the ball hard somewhere. For some reason, he reminds me of Rowand when he's in a really big funk. He reminds me over every hitting prospect that comes up to the majors after being taught softball 101 by the group of lift and pull geniuses that liter our minor leagues. LONG LOOPING SWING
