Send Anderson down, so at least he can get some ABs. Because when grinderstad is hitting 200 come June, maybe KW will want to make a change.

Someone needs to have a word with our offense. Our pitching gets b****ed out by Guillen after game 2, but the offense puts this poo up and we act like its nothing.

Now its funny that all of the Indians hitters have started to go oppo. I wonder if is just pure luck, or maybe their coaching staff said, AJ is calling a lot of pitches away stay back on the pitch and drive it to right. Too bad we dont adjust like that. A guy can pretty much setup a chair on the outside corner, and we swing like he is going over the middle of the plate.

AJ used to be an all field hitter who hit line drives, and lots of doubles. Now he looks like he going to pull everything. It really doesnt matter who we bring to this club, they will become a prototypical pull only hitter. If you can turn AJ into it. Nobody is safe.

We develop the Rob Deer approach to hitting in our prospects.

Garko is showing our team how to hit. Line f***ing drives are so uncool.

1st and 3rd and no outs, and our 4-5-6 guys up. And we get a K and two pop ups. Corpseball is a bit early this year.

Nice approach at the plate. Someone needs to scream at these people.

Willis just went up there, spot it either in the dirt, or away and let the magic happen.

Andy Marte = Joe Borchard

He walks 2 men on. We have 2 men on, and one out. And our hitters take straight fastballs down the cock, and then swing at crap that nearly bounce in. Good job Offense. Seattle wont be in last place for long with our efforts.

And one wonders how the Kason Gabbards of the world shut down our vaunted offense last year.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 01:03 PM) It's a damn shame that we hit Harden better in 4 innings already than Byrd. Slow crap, low and away can turn any pitcher into Johan versus the softball squad we are putting out there today.

Strikeouts, and pullouts. I love this f***ing offense.

Has Uribe decided to stop defending. That was something he should of kept in the infield. The Ole approach is a bit much.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:47 PM) Pitching. ...and I can't be the only one who noticed SSI71 and fathom showing up after the home runs. I like Danks and think he will be fine this year. My timing is due to having other things to do around the house. The tax man comes first, my procrastination can only go so far.

We are 29th out of 30 teams in all of the majors for Batting average with a 225BA. We are 19th in runs scored.

I love the overreacting on a 22 year old making his 2nd overall start in the majors. Number 2 guys, against one of the best hitting teams in baseball. Take a deep breath. Remember also, this is the fifth starter. In 05 take a peak at how El Duque did. It wasnt all roses and smiles from him.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 08:43 PM) I said Buerhle had been better up to that point of the year. Which was true. And yes, please post the gamethread. Cmon David. Throw strikes. Here you go. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?s=...st&p=850929

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 08:41 PM) Sigh. One, that has nothing to do with what I was saying, two, I never said that. Are you sure you never said that. Because I could post the gamethread, and there are plenty of people that remember that. At least last year you just claimed it was only because at that time, Buerhle had a lower ERA by a smidge. Now you never said that. LOL

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 08:38 PM) LOL. At least wait until he isn't playing well to take a random shot at him. Well we could over hype a player playing well for a small part of the season. For example, Do you still want Buerhle over Johan?

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 08:35 PM) Yah. What has he done for us so far? It's not like he's only 1 of 2 players over .300 on our team or anything. Sure because a handful of games overcomes the few years of him hitting like crap. Maybe that 241BA and the sub 300OBP was an illusion to you post ASB last year.

Maybe Garko can lead off for us, he looks more like a leadoff hitter than ours does.
